ApplyNAAC A+ Grade | Ranked No.1 Private University in India (QS World University Rankings 2025)
Hello Aspirant ,
Sadly No , you will not be eligible for admission in NISER ( National Institute of Science Education and Research ) as to get admission in NISER you have to qualify their entrance exam which is NEST (National Entrance Screening Test ) and the age requirement for this exam states that you should be born on or after 1st August 2003 but since you were born on 6th June 2003 you do not qualify this eligibility.

Hope this helps.
Hey
NISER is National Institute of science education and research and NIT is National Institute of Technology as both the institutes are best at there place but if you have taken admission in NISER then go for it only beacuse it is good for Physics and faculties here are good enough and also the placement at NISER is available at a large variety if you have CGPA greater then 7.5. and also you will get two year to complete your Msc project in physics which is quite good . so, stay with NISER dont get confused , i hope it will help .
Good luck
NISER has got more permanent faculties compared to CEBS. The admission for both institutions is completely based on rank only and preference is given for those who have secured highest rank.

Hello dear
So basically there is no much difference between NISER and IISER , both are very good in all perspectives.
But as you highlighted research in physics, you must opt the one which would help to give a great outcome at the end .
I'll tell the difference only keeping in mind - physics department
At IISER ,students will follow a common curriculum for the first 2years and then start to specialize ,whereas at NISER students start to specialize in their second year .
The physics department at NISER is really very good and can expect very good outcome, if there is a hardwork from your side.
But at the end it's your choice, both are good ,only when physics matters for researching NISER has good physics faculty compared to IISER .
Any queries drop down in the comment box
Good luck !
Incase youre seriously Interested in Research in Science, have plans to go for a PhD as well have the intellect to crack seat in IISc Bangalore either through JEE or KVPY, you may pursue that definitely. Otherwise prefer IITs, as you have wider options including Placements, Research as well as Study and Research Groups relevant to every domain. NISER amd UM-DAE CBS are mainly if youre interested in Physical & Chemical Sciences especially from the Nuclear Technology Aspect. Incase youre interested in Research to the Core of your heart, but are not able to crack a Seat in IISc, but have done well in JEE Advanced, you may opt for some of the Good IISERs in that case
Hello,
If you are visionary disable candidate then you are under PWD category. You can give the JEE advanced examination for mathematics course in good college like IISER or niser etc. For this course you have to get minimum 10000 rank then you can get chance to admission there.
Just keep practicing and give mocktest. Start practicing the previous year question papers. You can pass the examination. I'll provide you a link below you can check it for more details about the mocktest

All the best.
Hi Aspirant,
It is a bit difficult to predict anything regarding cutoff for NISER and admission to it unless and until the marks for NEST 2021 are declared because there are a lot of factors on which the cutoff of each year depends number of applicants, total number of seats, etc. However looking at the previous year trends, the minimum admissible percentile or we can say the overall cutoff of 95% is advisable for general category students.
You can also refer the link below for some more information on NEST 2021,

Hope this helps.
Good luck!!
Hello STudent
Every above average institute for JEE mains and JEE advanced and for Neet will be sufficient for the preparation for admission of Indian Institute of Science education and research courses and National Institute of Science education and research courses.
Gate 10 years back previous question papers of JEE mains and practices thoroughly a NEET for (bio) . Practice only mainly JEE mains question papers and 41 years books from different publishers and last year's IAT papers if available. This will be sufficient for your preparation to take admission in IISER and Niser courses.
Hope this helps.
National institute of science education and research which is situated in Bhubaneswar provides the degree of Homi bhabha National institute Our institute is famous for its high-level academic studies and laboratory for various experiments. There are well-maintained academic buildings, hostels, staff residents, a health center, a shopping complex, and canteens. Free Wi fi in all over the campus
The college has most of basic features as it is a national level institute. So facilities like bigger grounds for sports, clean classrooms & hostels inside the campus, library etc were present. So overall very good experience in terms of having good infrastructure.
The infrastructure in NISER is very modern and labs are pretty hi-tech and there are lot of facilities within campus like Shopping Complex, Medical Center, Indoor Sports Arena, Saloon, etc. In a whole you will get every day-to-day necessities within the campus which very few science colleges in our country have. Also the hostel infrastructure is also very good with high speed LAN connection and Outdoor Wi-Fi with good download and upload speed. In a whole, it's perfect.
