12 MonthsPost Graduate Diploma in Clinical Social Work and Counselling Practice (PGDCSW) is a full time one year aided course offered by Rajagiri School of Social Work. In 2002, the former Diploma in Social Service (DSS) was revised and renamed it as Post Graduate Diploma in Administration of Human Services (PGDAHS) and in 2015, this was restricted to (PGDCSW). PGDCSW offers a distinctive blend of clinical social work and counselling practice skills. The programme provides an opportunity for learners to get trained in therapeutic models and to specialize in counselling for Family and workplace.
Eligibility Criteria
- A candidate applying for Post Graduate Diploma in Clinical Social Work and Counselling Practice (PGDCSW) should have Under Graduation degree (bachelors level degree) in any subject from a recognized University. Preference will be given to postgraduates in Social Work, Psychology, Human Resource Management, Education and Home Science.
- Candidates from Universities outside Kerala should submit an Eligibility Certificate from M.G. University.
Admission Details
- Admission to PGDCSW programme is based on the marks obtained in the qualifying examination. Government norms of admission requirements will be observed in the case of SC/ST and other reserved categories. Additional weight for students opted Social Work, Psychology, Human Resource Management, Education and Home Science at UG will be considered. Bonus marks for NCC, NSS, Ex-servicemen applicants and widows and children of Jawans and Ex-servicemen shall be awarded as per the M.G. University norms for admissions.
