Thus, the Institute of Management, University of Kerala, Trivandrum, founded in 1991 is a premier constituent college committed to the management stream. Located in the colourful and diverse Thiruvananthapuram, this institute has been training future business leaders for more than thirty years. Recognised by the University Grants Commission UGC India; the institute is comprised of a plethora of current and relevant postgraduate management courses relevant to the changing faces of the corporate sector.

Most of these have modern facilities which enhance the academic process of the Institute of Management. Currently, the institute has four courses which main aim is to deliver different specialisations within the management field. They include a full-time MBA programme, MBA in Tourism, MBA Evening Programme for the employed, and an M.Phil. in Management for the research-orientated. The full-time MBA and MBA Tourism courses each have an intake of 40 students in each batch, which helps to ensure personalised attention for the students.
