About RIE Mysore

The Regional Institute of Education Mysuru was established in 1963 by the National Council of Education Research and Training (NCERT) in New Delhi. Regional Institute of Education Mysuru was formerly known as the Regional College of Education. RIE Mysore is a constituent unit of NCERT, New Delhi.

RIEM Mysuru offers various specialisation courses at the three distinct levels. The Regional Institute of Education Mysuru offers Dual Degree, B.Ed, Diploma, MSc, and M.Ed. Interested candidates for RIE Mysore admissions can apply for the admissions to the desired course. The RIE Mysore admissions are done based on the scores obtained in the past academic performance and in the entrance exam conducted by the NCERT.

RIE Mysore facilities include a library, sports, a laboratory, and more for the students' welfare. The institute has a placement cell that manages the Regional Institute of Education Mysore placements and provides skills & guidance to the students.

RIE Mysore Scholarship

At Regional Institute of Education, Mysore, all students belonging to the Scheduled Castes/Tribes are eligible for scholarships, if they are unable to get any financial assistance from any other source. Up to 50% of the remaining students will be awarded the merit-cum-means scholarship as per rules.

The amount of scholarship payable is

1. Rs.800/- per month for BSc.B.Ed, BA.B.Ed and MSc.Ed (I to VIII semesters)

2. Rs.1200/- per month for MSc.Ed. (IX to XII semesters) and MEd.

In addition to this 20% of the remaining students will be awarded freeship as per rules. The selected candidate has to submit a parental income certificate at the time of admission.

College Infrastructure

The RI of Mysore has best infrastructure, facilities, the classrooms have good quality of equipment like smart boards, wifi, projectors etc. there is sports center also. The living spaces are clean and the food is hygienic.

MSc Ed Course is a good course to pursue.

College Infrastructure

The college has a good, clean and peaceful space surrounding it. Classrooms are well maintained and the college has plenty of classrooms. Laboratories ,libraries and hostels for both boys and girls are present in the college. WiFi is available in the campus, mainly at libraries, ICT Labs and hostels. Hostels are maintained well and cleaned regularly.

College Infrastructure

The infrastructure is great and all the facilities are provided. All minimum facilities are provided minimum. And it is large campus with good infrastructure. The campus of fully lushed with greenary.The lab classroom have enough space and good equipments. The campus is clean and food is to adjust as it is not that good nd hygienic.
