About RIE Mysore
The Regional Institute of Education, previously known as the Regional College of Education, Mysuru, was established in 1963 by the National Council of Education Research and Training (NCERT) in New Delhi. RIEM has been at the forefront of developing innovative teacher training programs at different levels, as well as various other courses. To gain admission to the institute, candidates must take the Common Entrance Examination (CEE) administered by RIEM. RIE Mysore Scholarship
At Regional Institute of Education, Mysore, all students belonging to the Scheduled Castes/Tribes are eligible for scholarships, if they are unable to get any financial assistance from any other source. Up to 50% of the remaining students will be awarded the merit-cum-means scholarship as per rules.

The amount of scholarship payable is
1. Rs.800/- per month for BSc.B.Ed, BA.B.Ed and MSc.Ed (I to VIII semesters)
2. Rs.1200/- per month for MSc.Ed. (IX to XII semesters) and MEd.
In addition to this 20% of the remaining students will be awarded freeship as per rules. The selected candidate has to submit a parental income certificate at the time of admission.

College Infrastructure
Regional Institute of Education, Mysuru (RIEM) is a huge campus of 125 acres. Spacious labs and classroom, stunning nature especially on monsoon and winters. One of the largest libraries is also well equipped and maintained, a couple of gardens and love place to hang out with friends after classes. It's also rich in sports equipments. Also, this college has got a telescope observatory too which is really awesome and not found even in the famous colleges.
