Honestly, the infrastructure of MERI surprised me when I first joined. The classrooms are bright, clean, and have smart boards that make lectures a lot more interactive. The library is literally my go to place before exams- it's super quiet, has comfy seating, and so many books that i never had to loo elsewhere for notes. The computer labs are well - maintained, and the Wi-Fi actually works ( which you don't find in every college). The auditorium and seminar hall are great for events - We've had some amazing guest lecture there. The canteen food is good, not 5- star but totally fine for college life, and the hygiene level is decent too. I also love how green and open the campus feels. Overall, it really gives that college vibe where you can study, hang out, and feel comfortable.
Academics
The academics environment at MERI is genuinely student-centered. What stands out is how approachable the teachers are - they actually know your name, track your progress, and guide you like mentors. Most of the faculty members have corporate experience, so their examples are real and practical. The teaching isn't just theory; it includes project, case studies, group work, and presentations that prepare you for the industry. We often have guest lectures from industry experts and alumni sessions that bridge the gap between classroom knowledge and real-world application. As a management student , I've learned more about leadership, decision-making , and communication here than i expected to form a college course.
Placements
Since I joined MERI, the placement cell has been quiet visible and active. From about third or fourth semester onwards we were introduced to placement - prep activities - mock interviews, resume workshops, and chances to attend company talks. What this meant for me; by the time my final year arrived, i already had a clear sense of how to present myself and what recruiters expected. In terms of quality of placements: From several student - review and officials info, the placement rate across batches has hovered around 70-90% in many cases. For example, one source mentions 80% placed for some courses. The highest packages offered range up to about 12.80 lakhs per annum in some records. Typical average packages for many students seem to lie in the ballpark of 3-5 lakhs per annum, expecially for the UG courses. Company visits include a mix of major firms and smaller recruiters , and roles are often in sectors like marketing, sales, HR, IT support and business opportunities.
Campus Life
Campus life at MERI Janakpuri is a perfect mix of learning, fun , and growth. The campus, though not very large, is well maintained and fully equipped with modern facilities like Wi-Fi, a digital library, computer labs, and a vibrant amphitheatre for events. What I love most is how active and engaging the student environment is - From cultural fests, seminars, workshops, and debates to entrepreneurship events that encourage creativity and teamwork. Every week, there's something new happening that keeps students involved beyond academics. The location is also a big plus, being easily accessible in the heart of Janakpuri. However, since the campus is compact, wed do sometimes wish for more open and green spaces or larger sports areas.

From well- structured academics and skilled faculty to exciting campus life and supportive placement opportunities, everything here pushes you to grow both personally and professionally. College Infrastructure
In my electrical, labs have good equipment, quality instruments, and digital classrooms. Good hospitality in hostel and the environment is healthy, tasty food is available in mess. But due to two or three power cuts in a month, there is a problem of water shortage.
Academics
We have qualified lecturers but sometimes they fail to convey their point of view. We celebrate the college fest every year. Here, our faculty conducts exams very strictly and in my course, pass percentage is 79%. They take care of students in every way. especially girls.
Placements
75% of students were placed in my course. The highest package is 8 LPA, the lowest package is 3.6 LPA and the average package is 5 LPA. Wipro and Infosys are the top recruiting companies. 15 students remaining got internship in Accenture, Tech Mahindra Assistant engineer and sub engineer are the best roles selected for the companies from my college.

In this college free Wi-Fi and excellent lab and well amount of equipment. And maintenance of classrooms & Library are very well. And hostel maintenance also well but some times food is not prepared east. Weekly twice we are suffer from average tasty food. Medical facility, friendly PD and warden who was treated their own children. Sports and games are played every evening times and especially sunday.

Passing percentage is well but faculty of some subjects are dissatisfied. But all are try to conway the particular points all students equally. They provide all knowledge from projectors in a easy manner. In our branch Thermal subject teacher "T N Charyulu" sir and HOD sir are the spinal cord of our college .

Good placements from 2020 batch to 2022. The selected students package is 3.6 LPA to 7.0 LPA. Tech mahindra, capgemini, wipro and Infosys are selected large numbers of students from our college. I don't know correctly about how many students did internships, but I think none of the students did an internship. There is an internship cell in the college which brings placements or high companies for the students recruiting purpose. the previous year records 54.2% placements of political science departments in mscw. there are top recruiting companies which recruits the students from our college. the top companies are Maruti Suzuki and so on.

I joined the M.Tech VLSI course at Sree Vahini Institute of Science and Technology. It was a great course and has a lot of opportunities. About 60% of students got internships during their course. Companies like Wipro, Cognizant, Efftronics are coming to the college. Physical design engineer is the top role offered to a student in our college.

I don’t have much personal experience with placements as it’s handled by a separate cell. From what I’ve heard, a few students get placed with packages around ₹8 LPA, though this seems limited to certain courses and top-performing students. The majority do not get placed directly through the college. The placement process doesn’t seem very active or well-organized for all streams.

The campus environment is decent, though not very lively. Teachers and staff are cooperative and generally respectful. Safety-wise, I can’t comment much, but it feels okay overall. The major complaint among students is hygiene—washrooms are often dirty and poorly maintained, which is a big issue. Social activities are limited, so the campus feels plain most of the time.
