The college infrastructure is quite good, all of the essential facilities are present, the campus is very clean and the institution has a lot of parking. The classroom features a projection facility. There is fast WiFi in the college for students.
Academics
Teachers are really nice and helpful. The course is relevant to the industry. Exams are difficult, we use a relative grading scheme in which grades are entirely based on batch performance, and the pass rate is 40%. All teachers are highly certified and experienced in their industry.
Placements
The college has 100% placement training, and the placement cell is quite active, providing various options for other students. Even during the internship period, there are multiple companies lined up for the interns.

May be it is a temporary campus, IIM Sambalpur has a quite good and wonderful infrastructure. Classrooms are well-furnished and air-conditioned. The new classrooms are gallery type. Wi-Fi facility is available throughout the academic block and hostels. Hostels have all the facilities like common rooms, indoor sports, washing machine, geyser, and RO filtered water. Also, there are separate hostels for girls and boys. The rooms were occupied by 2 students each, and they are spacious and well-furnished. But the rooms are not air-conditioned. The common rooms are air-conditioned. The mess is neat and clean, and good food is also available.
Academics
IIM Sambalpur has well-experienced and skilled permanent faculty members and visiting faculty members from IIM Indore. There are also faculty members from IIM Calcutta, MDI Gurgaon, and IIM Bangalore. Most of the faculty members have more than 10 years of teaching and practical experience , and few even have teaching experience of more than 20 years. The curriculum is set to gain maximum knowledge in 2 years. Since the maximum credit for a subject is 3, more subjects are included in the curriculum.
Placements
The college achieved 100% placements in each year after its inception. In the last placements of 2017, all the students who appeared for placements got placed with an average salary package of 10.55 lacs per annum. The highest annual CTC achieved in 2017 was 60.74 lacs per annum. The medium salary package offered was 9 LPA. In the summer internships of 2018, 59 companies participated in the selection process with a total of 102 offers. The average stipend offered was Rs. 70,078 and the highest stipend was Rs. 1,60,000. Companies like BPCL, HPCL, Philips, Patanjali, Accenture Strategy, EY, Hero, Deloitte, Tata Motors, HDFC, Vedanta, Indian Oil are some of the recruiters visiting for final placements and summer internships.

I passed-out in 2021 , I studied BS.C in H&HM , the curriculum is updated and includes all the recent development in the field . Also IHM pusa provides Field visit to different Hotels for practical studies.

Placement from IHM pusa is 100% , i got placed in Reliance Retail as a Department manager in 2021 from college placement, and many of my friends got placed in different 5 star hotels so overall the placement is good in IHM pusa.

Wi-Fi is poor in hostel, we have to buy our own personal connection most commonly airtel extreme. Labs are not that well-equipped. The library is well stocked but sometimes we face problems in availability of some books. The quality of food has improved over time. We are going to leave block 2 soon as the tenure is about to expire. The other blocks like block is the best one but still the buildings are far off.
Academics
The faculty members and other staff are exceptional. Everyone is very helpful and kind to us. They are very much engaged and in love with us in all sorts of matters, including our daily affairs. The academics are also fine and at a good level compared to other NITs. The system is accountable and very supportive.
Placements
Above-average placements, I would say, make the T&P very worthy. The new head is Sukanta Roy, who is the mastermind. The highest package offered is 14.6 LPA this year from CSE Avishek Gope. Internship-wise, this college also has impressive states. The percentage of students placed is 65 percent.

Currently, IIM Sambalpur is running at Silicon Institute of Technology campus temporarily, and here infrastructure is also extremely good which you can expect to an IIM should have and we are going to have our permanent campus very soon. The infrastructure is exquisite, and we enjoy living here.

The faculty members are highly well educated and qualified and love to share the bundles wisdom of knowledge, and we feel lucky that we get chance to interact with some of the best minds in the country. IIM Sambalpur curriculum is all about case studies and real-life business problem, so we are grooming here like that we can solve the business problem more efficiently and tackle any situation which may arise in the near future.

Here, the placements are excellent. You have to burn the midnight oil to achieve what you want, and IIM Sambalpur provides you with that platform. Top companies will come here to recruit for summer placements and final placements with handsome stipends and package offer.

Faculty of our course bsc(hons) chemistry is average. Commerce and arts faculty are much better. Our teachers are well qualified but they don't know how to teach, I don't understand many topics. Few teachers are helpful throughout the semester.

IIM Sambalpur houses 3 hostels, 1 auditorium, 1 gymnasium and spacious classrooms as a part of this infrastructural facilities. There is a very huge playground adjacent to the hostels for playing football and cricket. Each hostel has a games room which has table tennis boards, carrom boards and other indoor games equipment. The hostels are also have indoor courts to play badminton, volleyball and basketball.

The present campus of IIM Sambalpur is not the permanent campus of the institute so obviously it is not at par with the older Iims, but all the necessities are fulfilled. They have state of the art facilities in the college and libraries with access to all the necessary databases and portals. The hostel and mess facilities may be better but are not bad either - they are comfortably livable if that's what you are worried about. Wi-Fi like any government institution is great as all the Iims and IITs are connected to the National Knowledge network which has great speeds.

The new IIM has the benefit of getting the best professors from most of the top-tier B-Schools. We had professors coming in from IIM A, B, C, I and from JBIMS, MDI Gurgaon, and XLRI. These professors are available to the students everytime like whenever they are on campus and approachable on digital mediums.

IIM Sambalpur had and continuously to have a 100% placement record. 2019 Placements saw a host new companies coming to IIM Sambalpur with new roles which are pretty similar to older Iims, establishing the institutes reputation in the industry as one of the premium talent hubs. The highest international salary offered was 60 Lacs and the highest domestic salary offered was 20 Lacs. The top quarter received offers at around ~16-17 Lacs and the lowest offered was 7 Lacs to around 4 candidates. The roles were offered in a variety of industries including FMCG, BFSI, Healthcare, Tech, Analytics and more with roles like Management trainees, Management Consultants, Equity Research Analysts, Area Sales Managers and many more
