Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Electrical Engineering is a four-year (8 Semesters) full-time undergraduate program offered by National Institute of Technology Srinagar.

The Department of Electrical Engineering was one of the first departments of the National Institute of Technology. It was established in the year 1960 with Dr. Russell. W. Burns as its first Head of the Department. Lying in the heart of the institute, this department has an experienced faculty. There are ten laboratories in the department, including a computer lab & the electrical workshop. The department has a sanctioned intake of 78 students at B.Tech level. The students are admitted on the basis of entrance test conducted at the National level (AIEEE). The Department also offers M. Tech in Electrical Power & Energy Systems.

Eligibility Criteria

Must have passed class XII (or equivalent) Board examination with a minimum of five subjects and secured at least 75% aggregate marks. The aggregate marks for SC, ST and PwD candidates should be at least 65%.

Admission Details

Candidates shall be offered admission based on their choices and All India Ranks of JEE (Main) through a Seat Allocation Process to be announced later. The candidates will be able to make their choices online for branches /programs and institutes at the appropriate time.

College Infrastructure

Yes my college have all the necessary infrastructure, facilities and equipment.therr are a smart board classrooms, laboratory, library,sports centre etc is available in my college.yes living space is clean and the food is hygiene.

College Infrastructure

Facilities are okay, with classrooms that are functional and equipped with WiFi and smartboards. Laboratories meet basic needs. The library is large but lacks some newer resources. Sports facilities are acceptable, though not always fully utilized. Hostels need better cleanliness, and food needs improvement.

College life is good

College Infrastructure

College provide all the necessary facilities and aminities inside the campus. Campus has a huge library which consists of many books of engineering and other courses. Laboratories are well maintained. Wifi speed is very high.
