Batch of 2018 | BE Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering
College life in V.E.S.I.T is exciting because of all the festivals and days celebrated through out the year. The college is bit strict about the timings of this festivals but they are very well organized. The placements are good with many companies visiting. We are blessed with an amazing infrastructure and facilities. The students crowd here is very enthusiastic. The labrotaries are well equipped and the faculty is good. They give us industry exposure by arranging Industry Visits.

The infrastructure is very good and spacious. It takes the students to Industry Visits for corporate exposure. The various Festivals like Technical Festival, Cultural Festival, Sports Festival, Music Festival and many more. The Placement record of previous year is at a higher level than many other colleges in Mumbai University. The Faculty of my college is strict and supportive.

The college boasts a good infrastructure. Proper practical knowledge provides us a better industry exposure. The college crowd and the various festivals conducted makes our college life enjoyable. I am currently in third year and I am expecting a good lot of companies to come. Since the crowd is cosmopolitan, the experience is unique.

The college infrastructure is very good. It provides all the necessary amenities. The premises are clean and hygenic. The faculty here is very nice and helpful. There are special lectures regularly from industry professionals which gives an idea of what is going on in the real market and how is it related to our curriculum. The competition among the peers here encourages to perform better. Overall, it is a good and strict college.

College with good infrastructure the only part good about this college I guess, mostly will find Sindhi students here due to minority quota and students are just forced to sit in lectures for attendance, I will say most strict and irritating faculty regarding Attendance.

which one is better for extc rait or vesit

Bhawana Sinha Student Expert 28th Jul, 2019

In my opinion RAIT is better for Electronics and telecommunication. You can make your choice by going through Information below.

RAIT:: The college is really good for placements, especially for computer and EXTC branches. TCS is the major recruiter, and the average salary package offered is 4-4.50 LPA. Many dream companies visit the campus offering salary packages ranging from 8-10 LPA.

VESIT: Most of the students in computer and IT courses get placed, but this is not the case with electronics but the placement cell of this college works hard to tackle this and help students with placements.

Should I go for Electronics in KJ Somaiya or EXTC at VESIT?

Ojaswi Singh Student Expert 22nd Jul, 2019

Hello

What I can do is to just give you a basic idea of what both branches would consist of. The ultimate ‘better’ one will be your choice. The core subjects are same for both in initial semesters like analog, digital electronics, communication circuits, control systems, signals system, electrical networks etc. The very simple answer to this question is “depends on your own interest”.

Let us start with EXTC at VESIT:  The placement is  like most of the students who apply for the placements get placed. To get placed one need to get fulfill the criteria of the company you apply, so one need to have equal to or more than 6.67 CGPA which is almost equal to 60 percentage and more one score. Faculty is one of the most helpful people in Vesit and they are available anytime for the students who have doubts. They are friendly and also they teach well that helps the students in their semesters to score higher percentage and gain higher CGPA.

The infrastructure of the college is fairly nice. Everything right from medical to educational, sports needs are fulfilled. There are always developments happening, and displince and cleanliness is always maintained. The Quality of canteen food and drinks is good.

Now for electronics in KJ Somaiya:

The placements were very good. 95% of the students got placed. The highest salary offered was 15 lacs per annum. The lowest was 3.5 lacs per annum, and the average was 5 lacs per annum. Different kinds of roles were alloted to the students. All the major companies like L&T. TCS. Accenture. Capgemini and many more visited the college. The teachers are very helpful in solving your doubts. You will get a very good practical knowledge. All the lab assistants are very great and helpful in doing your practicals. This college is autonomous, so there will be no burden to the students. Wi-Fi is available in the campus. Huge sports ground and all indoor games available. There is a great library. The biggest sports event happens here, and all the curricular activities happen here. There is a huge campus. All equipment is available in the labs. Canteen is pocket-friendly, and it is of superb quality.

At the end of the day it is your choice. I have just presented the views of the students who are actually studying there and what hey think about the course annd the place.
