It's well good and give me happiness to be in college. We have all the equipment and facilities required for an engineering student. Our classroom have smart board, but not used by all the faculties. Living spaces and cleanliness are always taken care of, hence hygienic.
Academics
As a student of civil engineering, I observed that our faculty have a vast experience and teaching attitude may vary from faculty to faculty. All the syllabus is up-to-date and rubs according to the curriculum. We get extra knowledge, so the study makes us job ready also.
Placements
In our civil department, placements are moderate. 50-60% of students get placed on an average with average salary of 3-4 lakhs. The placement process is not tough though and our college support so that each and every get placed in their dream job. TnP cell is working hard to get more companies to place us in their companies.
Campus Life
Campus Life is full of fun here and we have a very supportive faculty and workers. All will help each other and give their 100% in their jobs.

Classrooms are not well lighted or libraries are short of books latest data is not available there .Hostels are not hygienic.wifi is not available in college.living spaces are not well cleaned up and food hygiene is not so good

I am a student of law and I think everyone has to be aware of law of his own country that's why I join this course . Quality of teaching is very poor.classes are not even held regular .And I think my study through university does not make me job ready

I have persued Bcom and I am in second year student. I have persued Bcom here because it prepare us for industry exposure. Yes I think all the curriculum are up to date and includes all the recent development in the field. Yes it makes us job ready too.

The college has most of the necessary infrastructure,facilities and equipment.Some classrooms are good & some are average.Classrooms have black board,projector & white screen for projection & have enough benches.Libraries are well equipped with all sorts of books for every subject.The campus lacks WiFi but hostels have WiFi.There is no playground and sports facilities aren't good-only a table tennis room and a gym.Laboratories are good.Hostels are good.Living spaces are clean & food is hygienic.

I am studying B.Tech in Electronics & Communication Engineering. The quality of teaching is mostly good. The teachers have in depth knowledge in their respective fields.The teachers are ready to clear the doubts of students.The curriculum has been updated recently as per AICTE norms but does not necessarily include recent developments in the field.The study forms the base for the concepts asked in job interviews.

The quality of placements has been very poor till 2019 as there was no placement officer.But from this year it has started improving after joining of new placement officer.Previously the placement percentage was close to nil but this year many students got placed in companies like TCS Digital,Cognizant,IBM.Highest salary package was close to 7 lpa.Average salary package was close to 4 lpa.This was our 1st batch of placements after placement officer joined.College was supportive in the process.
Campus Life
The campus is very small but has a vibrant environment. There are many other departments in the campus as part of the University of Calcutta so students from various backgrounds come & interact with each other.For extra-curricular and sports activities it has not much to offer.Students have healthy interaction with each other and with faculty and administration.Most teachers and support staff are suportive.The institute is in a safe location within the city and I think it can handle emergencies.

College infrastructure is pretty poor, specially the boys hostels. I wonder there will come a time when the hostels will fall upon us. The hostels are not really worth living in, very unhygienic with dogs littering all around the hostels.

I am studying Mechanical Engineering because I have an interest on the subject. However, our curriculum is not updated according to the present requirements of the industry. Many of the softwares are not taught in college and we are asked to learn it from somewhere else.

Placements are pretty decent with CST, IT, ETC, MIN getting around 80% to 100% placement. However, The core departments like Mechanical, Electrical have around 70% to 75% placements. Civil has even less, around 60%. Metallurgy and Aerospace varies from year to year. This year the highest salary was offered by Microsoft of 36 lpa.

My college have best infrastructure and other facilities that are necessary for the students. They have a clean and healthy environment around us. The food in the great in the canteen and rates are pretty reasonable.we even have a small grocery store for the sake of hostel students. We have hostels and the management takes care of each and every student.laboratories have clean and sufficient apparatus. Sports are available in college they encourage students by taking them to tournaments.

College is one of reputed and old university in Gujarat. It has the basic infrastructure, facilities and equipment. It might not be the latest but good enough. Sports center was not there after 1 year because of mbbs construction. The living spaces are hyginic.

I studied B.tech in IT. The quality of teaching is good but you can't rely only on professors and will have to do self study. The curriculum was not updated for us but they did change from later years.

If you are looking for a 10 LPA then you might not get that here but almost everyone gets placed. Mass recruiters come and offer around 3-4 LPA. There are other companies near Nadiad which hire. But,many students opt for higher studies via GATE, CAT or GRE .

IIEST, Shibpur boasts of its large alumni base and rich history. It is the second oldest college of engineering in our country. It's a lush green campus that will make anyone love the campus. But along with all this, there are a lot of loopholes there in the college. The college lacks modern amenities a bit. It lacks the modern classroom facilities. I'm not saying, that IIEST, Shibpur doesn't have modern amenities but still, it's in limited quantity. Living areas are quite spacious but not tidy.

There is not a single doubt when it comes to the academic section of the institute. This institute is basically for those students, who want to pursue research as a career option and also for learning enthusiasts. The institute has highly qualified professors and staff working day and night for the student's welfare. Along, with that IIEST, Shibpur also serves the nation by doing excessive and consistent research.

The placement scenario is average because most of the students prefer to choose higher studies or research lines. Most of the students from core departments successfully clear the GATE examination. So, most of the students are placed in the government sector rather than the private sector.
