College Infrastructure is good for a quality level learning experience. There are proper labs and facilities with required equipments to carry out the necessary experiments. The area is always clean and the department have wifi on premises. Hotstel Accomodation is neat too, but costly. Food is Ok.

I'm studying Computer Science and the faculty are good here. They are really helpful and are always available in case of any queries or support is needed. The college has gone autonomous now so syllabus for upcoming batches should be better now.
Placements
Placements are just like most of colleges in Bengaluru or as an upper-mid tier college. Average package hovers around 4-5 LPA and highest around 13-14 OnCampus. However this college provides a good platform to start your career .

The campus life and culture really depends upon the students, however as an overall score, the campus lacks good events and activities, academics and events are very unbalanced. The teaching and support staffs are really supportive and will help you with the best they can.

The college infrastructure is not so good I would say ,because it does not have the necessary facilities like their are small class rooms ,the college don't provide any wifi facility.The Food offered by Cafeteria is also unhygienic.

Curriculum is not updated it doesn't includes any of the recent developments .The teaching quality is good but the teachers aren't helpful to us,they are roughly towards us. This study does not make us job - ready at all.

It's decent not to high nor too low.Around 75-80% student were placed last year to my batch.The package is average but good as perspective of fresher.But there aren't much opportunities for civil and mechanical branch.

Does teach somewhat ok job. Althought this college also lack the specialized facilities like one faculty will teach multiple subjects. They does have much knowledge also. They have their degree thats it. They r also not updated with industry requirement. thus, they will also not guide you properly

Not much companies visit here for placement. Also placement officers keep changing. They will force you to join sales team for Btech student. They claim about 100% placement but they dont provide more than 5%, a best. Even these students r on grade period.

THE CURRICULUM NEEDS TO BE UPDATED AS THE SAME ONE IS BEING FOLLOWED SINCE 2018.THE UPCOMING BATCH COMING IN 2023 WILL NOT FACE ANY PROBLEM AS TIME WOULD BE ENOUGH.THERE IS MIX IN IN THE TEACHNG STYLE OF PROFESSORS WHILE SOME ARE GOOD AND SOME NEEDS UPDATION.

THE PLACEMENT OF THE COLLEGE HAS GONE UP AND UP ONLY .THE PLACEMENTS OF ALL THE BRANCHES ARE GOOD AND OVERALL PLACEMENT IS AROUND 90 PERCENT WITH AVERAGE PACKAGE AROUND 12LAKH. AND THE PLACEMENTS WILL GO ON INCREASING.

The Institute provides an outstanding infrastructure in most areas but in most old buildings there is need of work to be done. Library , CDAC and innovation lab are built very nicely this are places where you will spend most of your time in summer.
Academics
Same curriculum is being followed since 2018. Faculty in the ECE department are one of the best you will get in NIT Silchar . The curriculum is currently heavy but when 2023 batch comes it will be way lighter than the present batch.
Placements
The current placement stats here are much better than many NITs and even some IITs. Overall highest placement was 80 LPA, the average placement of ECE department was 17.05 LPA with highest package of 52.8 LPA.

Placements at our campus is very good .around 95 percent of students got placed last year.With and average package of 10-12LPA.And the placement fscility out there,is very supportive and helps in enhnacing the skills according to the cooperate need.

I am studying electronics and telecommunications and apart from that i am also studing B.sc in data science from iit madras through online course. The quality of teaching is very good but they cut unnessecary marks.

The quality of placements is very good but i want to pursue my career in data science so i will be looking for jobs outside too because in college only software development and software engineering positions come.

A huge campus consisting of auditorium, ncc ground , sports ground etc.Our classrooms are cleaned and have washrooms along with watercooler facility at each floor. Library is accessible. Its spacious,ventilated and cool place to study.

Teachers have good knowledge and experience in their fields .They are supportive in nature.Everything works according to college timetable.Yes, our curriculum is enough updated and includes field regarding developments.

Decent placement record with and an average of 8lpa.The university also has a great track record of good companies visiting for the placement rounds.But for the students of mechanical and civil branch there is no placement opportunities as such.

Our professors are quite old age,their average age is around 55-60yrs. The curriculum is well updated here. But the subjects like operating systems, machine learning etc are not in sync with real life applications.

The training and placement cell of our college is the worst thing we students don't like ,they are not supportive and also sometimes rough in nature towards the students.There are 2-3 students per branch allotted as tnp co-ordinators to help us students, but the reality is just opposite they always show attitude and hold grudges with us.

We have classes from 8 am to 6 pm almost everyday which is very annoying. Since we do not get enough time for other activities and the system is very rigid with it's rules so ir becomes very difficult for student to survive this Institute academically.

Fergusson college has best in class infrastructure. The college has very attractive landscapes with greenery everywhere. There are canteens, hostels, playgrounds, seminar halls, recreational spaces, A huge library and classrooms which will take you back in the history. There is one botanical garden as well and each and every students in the campus loves to sit under Kimaya which is basically a geometric structure for students recreational activities..

I studied BA at Fergusson. The teachers are good but few are little inexperienced but they do understand students' needs as they can related to us. The curriculum is updated with latest skills required for bring job ready just after graduation.
Placements
Placements are average because students usually go for masters after finishing their bachelors degrees so college has not focused much on improving placement quality because students themselves are not interested in doing jobs immediately after completing bachelors. Still some of the students who gets placed manage to get around 30000 per month which is a descent salary according to me.

The Placement is good enough. Many companies provide placements in campus and children approach of campus too. The percentage of the placement are 90 per cent and above for the top branch like cs, ece, ee, mechanical and 80 per cent and above for the rest.

The college has it's own cultural and technical fest called as Hillfair and Nimbus respectively. And there are many fun activies organised by the college, clubs and society and the sports authority.
