IMU Kolkata is very good campus for B.tech Marine engineering. Hostel facility is moderate. Wifi is available in our hostel. Gymnasium, Lecture hall, auditorium, college canteen, marine workshop and computer lab are available in our campus.
Academics
I am studying in final year of four year B.tech marine engineering in this college. Marine engine related paper like marine auxiliary, marine machinery system, marine internal combustion engine are main topic in our syllabus.
Placements
Placement of IMU Kolkata is very good. At about 80% students get on campus placement every year. Foreign shipping companies and Indian companies are main recruiters from our campus. Average package in starting rank is 6-7 LPA.

The infrastructure of this university is very good, the campus area is more than 1100 acres with proper building, playgrounds, hostels, departments, libraries and many more, everything is very well maintained.
Academics
There are some issues in faculties of some departments , but the professors are very good and hard working, they teach very well , they all are very helpful and down to earth, you can learn too much from them, as i am a student of Japanese language, i will praise my teachers.
Placements
This is the only issue that this university have, they don't offer you direct campus placement after your graduation, you have to pass Masters for securing a campus placement otherwise you have to find a placement by yourself.
