Facilities such as Wi-Fi, computer labs, and the library were decent and usable throughout the course. Medical support on campus was reliable. However, when it came to sports, only a few proper grounds were available, so the overall sports environment felt limited.

The good faculty members used projectors and practical examples to explain concepts and guided us whenever needed. One more thing was that during the initial semesters, some teachers suggested taking external coaching to score better in internals, which many students found unnecessary.

A few mid-level companies and some small corporate groups came for the recruitment process. Out of a large number of students, only a limited group received offers, and most students had to search for opportunities on their own. A few talented students managed to secure better roles through off-campus drives.

Academics was good too. I studied B. Sc Computer science. I studied in hostel. The teaching was good. The faculties were friendly. The curriculum was updated and it included all the recent developments.

Placements are good. I got placed in a company but for less package. My package was just 5LPA. But others got placed for a better package. Placements are average compared to other college here in erode.

Academics focus on CSE and ECE , with updating syllabus and provide good learning experience via project and lab, it has very strong coding culture and labs and courses are industries oriented and students friendly environment

The placements at IIIT Pune are quite strong, especially for CS and IT students. A good percentage of students get placed every year, and many receive internships that convert into full-time offers. The main academic building where I spent my academic years was old, and I feel it needed better maintenance overall. My science laboratories were functional, equipped with the essentials we needed for practicals, though some equipment was certainly outdated.

I found the academic environment during my course to be quite strong, especially within my core science department. The professors I learned from were truly dedicated, knowledgeable, and genuinely cared about my understanding of the subjects. I felt they were highly qualified and often went the extra mile to clear my doubts, even outside of scheduled class time. The curriculum, being affiliated with Calcutta University, was rigorous, and I believe it prepared me well for further academic pursuits.
Placements
For my course when I graduated, the placement scenario was unfortunately extremely poor, which is why I must give it a very low rating. I recall there being virtually no dedicated campus recruitment drives or a structured placement cell for general science graduates like me. Most of my batch mates, including myself, had to actively look for jobs or prepare for higher studies completely on our own. I honestly felt that the college did very little to bridge the gap between us, the final year students, and potential employers.
Campus Life
There were very few extra-curricular activities or student clubs for me to join and truly engage in. I remember the common room was a place for informal gatherings, but structured events were rare throughout the year. The annual college fest and Saraswati Puja were the only major social highlights that I looked forward to.

The sheer size of the property, shared with the other Pailan institutions, was impressive and gave me a sense of a true campus environment. I feel that while the outer campus was huge, the specific infrastructure for the Computer Applications program could have been significantly better to support the curriculum. The surrounding greenery was definitely a plus point.

The placement scenario when I graduated in 2010 was certainly a major weak point of my college experience. I saw that only a small fraction of my batchmates managed to secure jobs through the official campus placement cell. Most of the companies that visited were small sized local firms, and the salary packages offered were quite low even by the standards of that era.

The expansive and remote location meant that campus events and college festivals, though not frequent, were quite memorable and offered a great break from studies. The percentage of students placed is decent but it has dropped in recent years. The average package is decent, though it varies depending on the department.
