How to fit multiple colleges into one building

While the location might seem appealing, the limitations of being in a residential area with no campus to speak of can provide a sharp reality check. The college is a Minority Institution and that does seem to play a decisive role in the overall outlook of the faculty and students and leads to a perception of nepotism in some cases. At one time it charged the lowest fees among all the Mumbai University colleges thanks to its limited infrastructure. The Teaching staff seemed to be changing on a yearly basis with former students being inducted into the teaching faculty after passing out. These newly inducted faculty would teach subjects from the viewpoint of scoring marks in the university exams rather than ensuring that the students understood the subject being taught. The office staff were quite helpful and offered excellent support to resolve any complicated problems in matters relating to the university. There was no hostel attached to the college, but its canteen provided a wide selection at affordable rates. However, Canteen space was shared with the multitude of other institutions in the same premises and was woefully short in capacity to serve them all. The Civil stream was lucky enough to have greater exposure to the industry due to the nature of the stream leading to the proximity of multiple active construction projects in the area, but none of the other streams managed to organise an industrial visit for their students during the same time period. While the library held a decent selection of books, their condition was rather poor. Classroom ventilation is poorly planned and this can lead to hot and stuffy classrooms in the summer months and in late October. Laboratory equipment may not always be in the best shape, though the college did spend for some new equipment when final year projects required it.

It's a nice college. The crowd is pretty okay. Infrastructure is good Better than many colleges in fact. Has a really huge canteen which is amazing and the faculty is good as well. The location of the college is another plus point. Has the most amount of seats for civil and the best part is the if you're doing civil engineering like me, you are learning about building from a builders college. .

Civil is the best because the trustees of rizvi are builders and if you are a smart one then you will surely get a job..The canteen is full of bedbugs so enter at your own risk ! You might carry some bedbugs at your home too... otherwise the food is good and reasonable

Attendance rules have been revised - Minimum 60% req. People who dont have 60% attendance are not eligible for the term test. Hangouts are good.. canteen is also good.. placements are decent (upto 60 to 70%).. civil is the best department in college..
