It is an autonomous college. The campus covers 42 acres and has a total built area of 2.25 lakh square feet, which comprises classrooms, drawing halls, labs and other facilities. The college has received ISO certification. The NBA has given the institute its seal of approval. The NAAC has accredited the college with an "A" grade. The college is affiliated with Anna University, Chennai.
