Master of Laws (LLM) is a full time two years Duration course offered by Gondwana University, Gadchiroli. The Post Graduate Teaching Department is yet another jewel in the crown of S. P. College of Law. The college has become one of the few institutions in the State of Maharashtra which could impact both Graduate and Post Graduate in Law. The Government of Maharashtra and Nagpur University, Nagpur has conferred a rare Privilege on the college by permitting it to start Post Graduate Studies and Research in Law in the year 1990. At present, the PGTD offers Master Degree Course in Law, Human Rights, Labour Studies and a wide range of P. G. Diploma Courses has been actively assisting and helping the students and staffs in pursuing research activities. From 2012-13 onwards the first year of all Master Courses and One Year Diploma Courses is being run by Gondwana University.

In LL.M Course (Credit Bass Semester System), there are Eight Courses as Foundation Courses, which are compulsory for all. There are Seven specialization groups, which are optional. They are :

  • Group A - International Law
  • Group B - Constitutional Law & Administrative Law
  • Group C - Intellectual Property Laws
  • Group D - Business Law
  • Group E - Environment and Legal Order
  • Group F - Labour, Capital and Law
  • Group G - Criminal Law

Candidates have to select any one group of specialization which has six courses/papers. Candidates who have selected a group of specialization at the time of admission shall not be allowed to change the group of specialization subsequently.  The candidates will have to prosecute a regular full-time course of study. In each of the group, 25 students will be admitted on merit in the P.G. Department of law and in affiliated colleges.


Eligibility Criteria

Notwithstanding anything contained in any direction/ordinance for the time being in force; a student desiring to seek admission to LL.M. Program, may either register himself / herself as a regular student in any of the institution established , conducted or affiliated to the Gondwana University, Gadchiroli.

An applicant for admission to LL.M programme should have obtained Bachelors Degree in Law (LL.B.) or any other equivalent qualification, called by any name, which is recognized by the Gondwana University, Gadchiroli.
