Degree wise Admission Procedure
BA: There are 720 seats for the Bachelor of Arts program offered by the college. Admission is usually done on the basis of merit in the qualifying examination (10+2). Students from different streams may apply for this course.
B.Sc Maths Group: This program has 120 seats available. Entry is expected to depend on merit from 10+2 marks, weighting entry towards mathematics and science subjects of the qualifying examination.
B.Sc Bio Group: This program has also 120 seats like the Maths Group. Admission criteria would include merit performance in the 10+2 examination in biology and other science subjects.
B.Com: 80 seats are allotted for the Bachelor of commerce program. Admission is purely based on merit from 10+2 results; however, preference is given to commerce background students.
B.Ed: The Bachelor of Education program has 100 seats and follows an elaborate admissions process. Admission is given on the basis of marks earned within the entrance examination as well as qualifying examinations. Selection is done according to the orders issued by the state government and affiliated university.
MA Programs: The college offers 60 seats in MA Sociology, MA Education, and MA Home Science. Admission for the postgraduate programs shall probably be through the merit of the undergraduate degree of the candidate concerned or in the related area.
D.El.Ed: The Diploma in Elementary Education program offers 50 seats. The merits shall apply on the basis of qualifying examination marks obtained and/or an entrance examination depending on the state government policy and the university.
