College has good infrastructure. It has all kinds of facilities required for students like students' wifi, smart boards, water coolers, clean washrooms. And recently new builiding is built which has really good infrastructure.
I am pursuing Biochemistry hons. Because I am so much interested in having research career. The curriculum is well maintained, teachers are helpful and provide insightful knowledge about the course and new advancements in field.
College has its Placement cell which provide opportunity to undergrad students their course related internships and placements offer. The provided salary package is appreciable and the process is smooth to apply.
Fees of Biochemistry course is high as compared to other courses but the quality of education we recieve worth the fee.
Campus Life is good both in academics and sports. All teachers and staffs are helpful and well behaved. Location is near metro station so it's safe and all other facilities are available near college.
My college has all the necessary infrastructure although the facilities were not up to the mark. We had AC only on computer laboratories so it was quite difficult during Delhis summer. Other than that we had all the required free wifi, smart boards and frequently used. And the campus is green and clean and very much hygienic.
I did my graduation last year. The quality of teaching was 50/50 . Since from the science background practicals were taken quite seriously and that was good and clearly. The curriculum was quite updated although it didn't prepare us for job ready.
The college has a placement cell and the placement was good for the other departments but for science block they dont have the required placements. The college was supportive in every way and helpful. .
Yes it was worth the money spent.
The campus life was amazing. There were many and numerous activities for the students. Different societies are there for the students to indulge in and show talents. The loca location was good with nearby metro station and hospital.
The college infrastructure is poor. The building has not been painted for decades. Also, it is in poor condition but there js not say of renovation. There is no wifi but colege will tell it is there only to make you happy
The academic of college is ok ok. I study bcom hons. Accountancy economics, corporate law, investing and there is not much to gain from college it is better to stay home and learn. Teachers take efforts but the way of teaching is not good
The placement opportunities are poor. The placement cell is taking efforts but the name of college or fame is not enough to get good companies into college to give internship and placement. The packages are also not so good.
The college is value for money. For such a low price like every other college of du, it is value for money, you can stay home and focus on extracurricular along with getting a degree. private collees are vey expensive and not everyone can afford them
The campus life ja not so active or good. Nothing can be better than the vibes and activenes of north campus. It is an off campus college. The lawn is not so big . also the playing ground is on other side of road . so it is better not to go.
Nice infrastructure , biggest sports ground i have interest in eco h studyinh here we have project screen in classrooms white boards are there and a huge auditorium in college organising various events
I am studying economics honours there i have interest in it so . Quality of teachers here are good . A very experienced and senior teachers are teaching economics honours here .have good knowledge of subject
Placements are good people from eco h , maths h bcom chemistry are mostly getting good placements internship melas are also organised by entrepreneur cells placement cells in the college ground itself
Yes its worth it
College campus being small but still good and awesome place when u have good friends around any place is good , the c points in college are best place the sport ground being the largest in du is awesome place
No
The college infrastructure is quite average in Shivaji. Classroom as only important facilities like Smart board but college don't have any AC's in the classroom. College is clean but the food provided in the canteen is not that hygienic.
Shivaji is a college of Delhi university so studies wise they don't lack anything. Teachers are quite supportive and the curriculum is always updated.Yes this course makes me job oriented for the future .
Placement cell is not that active in our college. Moreover quality of placement is not that good also. Only few students goes for the placements. Moreover teachers are not that supportive to the students in terms of placements
Yes definitely my college is value for my as my course fees is only ten thousand a year which is quite good as the value of Delhi university degree and i am quite satisfied that my money is worth it .
Overall Campus life is quite good for me i have found very good friends for myself. Also teachers are quite friendly with the students . Location wise it quite near to the metro station and is very safe for girls .
The infrastructure is above average here. The campus is not air-conditioned. There is a single combined large sports complex in front of the college. The campus has a wi-fi facility for the students. Labs are properly equiped and well maintained. The library is also above average and is updated once a while and offers a large number of books for students. Hostel facility is not provided to the students. There is one canteen and one bru cafe outlet in the campus.
I'm pursuing B.A Hons. (Political Sciences) here. Faculty here is kind of mixed. There are some good teachers with plenty of experience while some lack the art of teaching. One of the major good things here is that higher authorities are easily approachable here. Faculty here is very polite and friendly, they always hear your doubts and try to resolve them. The study material provided to us is also very good.
Placement criteria of the college is below average. Placement cell does not show much efforts in bringing the companies to the campus. Only two or three companies visit the college for placements and the average package is 3 to 4 lakhs per annum. The companies which visited the campus this semester were Vivo, Naukari.com , HCL , etc. The lowest package offered was 3 lakhs per annum. For the course i am pursuing there are hardly any placements.
The course which I am pursuing costs me around 18000 per year. The students who come from outside the state have to go for PG which costs around 1 lpa. Overall the value for money is justified as we get enough resources and study material for the money we pay. Scholarship options are also available for the students to perform well in academics.
Campus life here is good as compared to other government colleges. Girls to boy ratio is almost equal and the canteen is also very spacious. The campus is very beautiful with plenty of greenery around. Seniors are also very helpful here and ragging is strictly prohibited in the campus. The college fest is very exciting here and we get to see many Bollywood stars.
There is no dress code in the college

I'm pursuing B.sc honors from the maths stream here. Faculty here is kind of mixed. There are some good teachers with plenty of experience while some lack the art of teaching. One of the major good things here is that higher authorities are easily approachable here. There are few professors from IIT here. Faculty here is very polite and friendly, they always hear your doubts and try to resolve them.

Overall the value for money is justified as we get enough resources and health for the money we pay. Scholarship options are also available for the students to perform good in academics.

Shivaji College is one of the most prominent colleges of University of Delhi. It is the best among off campus colleges. The crowd here is even better. Shivaji college has the biggest play ground in the whole university and also one of the biggest libraries. In terms of building we now have the new building and hostel coming soon too. There are computer labs, science labs, auditorium and everything one needs. And the lush greenery is of no competition with others and everyone knows that.
Faculty of the college is very qualified and hard working. All the teachers of my commerce department were so friendly and educated that it started feeling like school where every teacher would give you individual attention. Apart from this most of the teachers here are PhDs. and post graduates. Results of the college have always been excellent.
The college do provide placements. Though not all big companies come here to hire you but yes some big companies and many startups and well established companies come every year for placements. The placement cell also organises internship and job fair every year.
The fees is comparatively higher than other du colleges but still it is not much. The fees is value for money. College gives you the best experience in every terms. Not only academics, you get to know life and make amazing friends by being part of various societies and cells that are actively working in the college. If you want fun and study together, shivaji college can be on the top of your list. Plus you can visit both north and south campus anytime. It is not far from the college.
Campus life is very enthralling in the college. We have plenty of hotspots to chill at. Bru and mother dairy which is the favourite of all. Canteen is also there, backstage, innumerable gardens, principal's bungalow, C points, and the neighbouring malls are the places which may not look exciting to you now but once you are in the college they'll have your heart. And the speciality of rajouri garden, the whole road filled with cafes and lounges where you can go anytime.
Every college has its own speciality and so do shivaji college have. There could be some things which college is not having rn but there are also many other things which you won't get at other colleges. It all depends on you and your friends that how you make your life happening. My experience in the college have been a roller coaster ride. I made mistakes, had fun, danced, sang, made friends learned to live life and had one of the most beautiful 3 years of my life which I would cherish forever.
Shivaji College has all the necessary Infrastructure and facilities. It has a library, labs, sports ground, coffee shop and canteen. It has WiFi and smart boards are also present.Things are well maintained.Food quality is good too.
I am studying BA(hons)Business Economics .I always was interested in studies of business related stuff.Curriculum is industry oriented. It is a professional degree course. It covers all the basic requirements to get a job.
Placements are not so good. But studious and dilligent student can bag a fine placement offer. There is a placement cell in the college.Workshops are also held regularly on how to perform good at job interviews.
The college has nearly all the equipments that are needed. The college provides wifu service, library has variety if books and pretty big sports compelx. The food quality in cantene is fine. The campus area is also nicely maintained.
I am pursuing Economics course in the college as I have interest in this field. The course is up to date and contains all specifics as oer universitt direction. Some teachers are very much experienced and helpful.
The Placement cell makes sure that every student gets a chance to have an internship or a job. Various companies visit the campus and many students appear for the placement drives. However the average salary offered is not too good.
The course costs around 12k and is not much higher as compared to other college's fees. Thus it is of value to get this course.
The college is spread over a magnitude of area. The sports complex is quite vast relative to other DU colleges. However it is seperated from the campus.
I had a great experience being a part of Shivaji College and made numerpus friends over time.b
Hi Subhi Agrawal,
The Shivaji College in Delhi University is pretty good for BA course. There are internship opportunities for students which are similar to final placement roles in order to get practical knowledge. Infrastructure wise, this college has a good campus with all facilities and hygiene. There are hostels
