    The college was quite good.

    College Infrastructure

Infrastructure facilities available in our college are good and the infrastructure is upto the mark, they provide the Wi-Fi facilities and even the library is excellent. Some classrooms are average but rest are amazing. No hostel facilities is available in our college. Shivaji college has the biggest sports complex in Delhi University.

    Academics

I am studing Ba(program) as I want to dedicate my time in govt. exams. The teachers are helpful and understanding by nature. The teaching quality ranges from basic to advanced and some have excellent knowledge of their subject. The curriculum is relevant to the jobs in this field.

    Placements

Mostly in B.A.(program) Hindi placements qre almost nil. Very few students get placed after 3rd year. In our course many students thiks of pursuing Masters in higher studies. Actually no recruiting companies come to hire ba students. Other courses like B.Sc. and B.com have better placements as compared to our course.

    College Infrastructure

Shivaji college has a good infrastructure. Not very modern but it has all the necessary infrastructure, facilities and equipment. Like there are no smart boards or a good wifi, but the basic things are there and are well maintained, like the lecture rooms, washrooms, and labs. There is a huge and well-maintained library which is digitized too, but the library rules are too strict and annoying. there are 2 auditoriums new and old. a new science block has been inaugurated in 2023. there is a canteen in the campus. There is a separate dedicated Shivaji sports complex in front of the college campus.

    Academics

I took a BSc Hons Physics degree from here in 2023 and I have had a good experience academically. You can't really have very high expectations about outstanding research exposure or placements in pure sciences from this college, but the academics are still very good with a focus on providing a good research exposure but only within the college or within DU, for dedicated students. there is an active college research cell and a placement cell along with like a dozen other societies.

    Placements

There is obviously no placements for science students, as far as I know. But otherwise there is an active placements cell working to get placements for people in good companies and i have seen placements fairs happening in the college maybe twice during my time here. (1.5 years offline after COVID period)

    Value for Money

The course cost me somewhere around 15k-20k per year, which is what central university colleges generally take for science courses in India. The education is indeed somewhat value for money. Selective students are also offered scholarships and fee concession.

    Campus Life

Campus life is not bad at all. The crowd is good, the faculties and staff is also good. The campus is very peaceful but also vibrant with is beautiful gardens, two buildings and a running track. NCC and NSS is very active here. There is an active tedx society. Cultural fest called vibrations happens every year around feb and march. vehicles are not allowed inside the campus. There's ofcourse strict anti-ragging rules as in all colleges of DU.

College expeience was good and helpful for me and my career

    College Infrastructure

My college had good facilities and an average infrastructure with helpful staff members All my classrooms and laboratories are well maintained clean and hygienic with wifi facilities Sports centres had playing equipments for 3-4 games

    Academics

Teachers were helpful and supportive to help us build a good career Always provided us with helpful notes and all study materials Their way of teaching was good and were interactive Mentors held meetings regularly

    Placements

I don’t know much about placements in my college as I didn’t participated in it but the placement cell organises seminars, workshops also placement and internship drives were held time to time and many students participated.

    Value for Money

Cost per year was a bit more than other colleges but not too much So it was worth it

    Campus Life

Best feature is its environment with all seniors and teachers were friendly and supportive while worst is just that it is located in off campus It would be better if it was in north campus area.

A provider but it's up to you how you take it

    College Infrastructure

Shivaji College, part of University of Delhi, boasts a pleasant atmosphere with a commendable infrastructure. The new block offers modern facilities, enhancing the overall environment, while the old block may not be as impressive. Notably, the college houses one of Delhi university's largest libraries, a valuable resources for students.

    Academics

This college is decent academically. The teachers are good, but to succeed, you've got to work hard and be active in class. Your success is all about your effort, so engage in class discussions and be attentive during lessons. The teacher appreciate students who participate and get involved. The college provides learning opportunities, but it's your responsibility to make the most of them.

FANTASTIC COLLEGE FOR BBE...WAS MY 4TH PREFERENCE

    College Infrastructure

The new building JLR(jijabai block) has all the necessary facilities including lifts and special need ramps and equipments. However, old building lacks in providing necessary special need service. We have a special women's room and many sitting areas known as C points.

    Academics

This college helds a strong grip over courses such as BBE and stands tall at rank 4 among all BBE providing colleges of DU. Other courses such as b.com. and B.SC. are performing quite well too. Overall the academic performance is excellent.

    Placements

Since I'm not yet graduated and planning for higher studies after BBE...I can't say much about placement.....but the placement cell is quite active and many CAs and buisness officials have accounted themselves in alumni list here.

    Value for Money

The fees is a little bit on the higher side. BBE takes around 37K per year.

    Campus Life

CAMPUS LIFE IS ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC!!! our very own sports complex, well equipped auditoriums, big grounds, active societies and ofcourse...the MIND BLOWING fests and POLITICAL DRAMA of shivaji college.....

    Others

I absolutely recommend this college if you want to pursue a BBE. THIS COLLEGE WAS MY 4TH PREFERENCE and I'm extremely grateful that i got the college i wanted. It's near RAJOURI GARDEN metro...sooo pretty richy rich lifestyle and creatures can be experienced here ... Mustangs and Porsches are common here...but...the people are extremely helpful and the area is safe and secure.

    Academics

Most of the teacher they had PHD degree education and classrooms and washroom all are nice and cafeteria food price were normal play ground had use space parking area is also available transportation service were not there

    Placements

Placement not gud most of the company can do the hiring in the pvt company but very less company placement were there and for the arts students it’s is less but for the science and commerce students opstion are there

    Value for Money

    Best

    College Infrastructure

Shiwani college is one of the best college for student who wants to completing BA ,it has all the latest facilities .the campus are larger as compared to other college ....I thinks books available in library are not so content full other than classroom are good .

    Academics

Teacher are very friendly .also the staff are good whenever you have any issue with any facilities in college ,you may fo and talk to them and they provided solution ..I took admition in that college on the recommendation of my friend and get good company in college .

    Placements

Quality of placement are not so good but its ok because the salary they offer are not so high its average ....placement process are easy and the administration are very helpful this particular thing .they make sure that everyone get best opportunity

Good but not so good college

    College Infrastructure

Best thing about this college is its infrastructure only. It has 2 large buildings where the areas are divided for each stream. The Library here is massive, it has 3 floors and is loaded with books which provide us with ample amount of resources to study.

    Academics

I would say academics are just average and not more than it as teachers are not very much connected with the students of the class and they just come, teach what they want to teach and leave the class which is not a good this according to me.

    Placements

Placements at this college are more or less good, according to what I got to know from other students who were from commerce and science backgrounds. I was doing Political Science Honors which is a vocational course not a professional one and thus I was not a part of the Placement drive.

    Value for Money

As per my point of view, they do not value our money as they are charging around 15K fee for a year and 45K in total for the complete course but the academics are not at par as compared to the fee we pay.

    Campus Life

The good this about this college is that they offer a vibrant campus life as there are many clubs like Bizarre (Fashion Club), Footloose (Dance club) and Reverb (Music Club) where one can be a part and enjoy with them.

    Others

It is good in all areas accept studies.
