Infrastructure is good ,but as classrooms are big so it gets a little hot cause if there are more than 60 students it becomes too much crowded and less space to seat comfortably. Labs have AC but they are not big enough for students more than 60.
Teaching is good here but it's way too exhausting and so many assignments, test , exams are also strict ,schedule is hectic but I guess it's fine.and about practical exams , there are too many practicals
I don't know about placements from department , but they do have campus placement from placement cell which always let us know about new opportunities and guide us well , but I do think that they have department placements also.
Considering the fees they take everything is fine and reasonable. As some colleges take high fees and don't provide better facilities.
Campus life , garden is pretty , but if you studying in a field that requires you to attend all lectures ,trust me it's all just about waking up, going clg , attending lectures and back home , no attending events and all as you will be way too tired to do something extra.
The college has maintained a stately look. The classrooms are huge and airy. It provides all the required amenities. It also provides an in-campus hostel for girls. The surroundings are maintained, and the living spaces are clean. The food is delicious. It also has a wonderful auditorium. It has a gym, a huge library a basketball court too.
The teachers are extremely good and provide necessary guidance whenever possible. The notes are clear and consist of all the information required for the exam. The teachers are knowledgeable and I've had a good rapport with many of them.
There were no college placements during our time. but now there are plenty available to the students. They are paid internships. Many graduates have got into good companies. The placement cell is good and follow up with their work.
It was quite affordable and was our money's worth. The fees as compared to many other colleges are affordable and upto mark with all the very many facilities they provide. So many girls from different socio economic backgrounds can avail of a college education.
There are many clubs that students can be part of such as the Nature club that I was a part of. the school festival Kaleidoscope held every year encourages students to participate. The location is beautiful, between town and the suburbs. It is quite a safe location with hospitals nearby in case of medical emergencies.
The college is invested in women's education and is open to Diversity and inclusion. I am very proud of my alma mater.
The college has all the adequate facilities available from medical facilities to a hostel. The classrooms are quite large, well-lit and fully ventilated. Almost each classroom has a projector available and since the architecture is very old a lot of movie scenes are also shot in the campus mostly during public holidays. As I live in the hostel, I feel the college maintains every part of the institution. We have a large canteen where the food available is cheap and hygienic.
As a BMM student, I chose this college especially because the BMM faculty is excellent. They make it a point to hire only professionals who have had a real time media industry experience in reputed companies. We are prepared thoroughly to step out in the real word. The curriculum is updated every year to ensure our learning is not compromised. The assignments can be a little stressful at times but they're equally interesting and one ends up learning a lot of stuff.
We as such do not have any proper placements but based on the project given to us there are some media professionals who asses our work and may offer us a place in their company. However, we do have a career connection cell that helps us to connect to apply for certain jobs. Campus placements are still not very popular in this college. But the quality of learning is excellent.
I think as compared to a private institute where one has to pay a fortune to get into a college, I did not have to pay a lot. Our yearly fee was 25,700/- which is a lot cheaper as compared to Symbiosis or any other college where one cannot easily afford to go to. I feel that the quality of teaching is worth every penny. I have had come across such amazing teachers and I think this would be a great choice for anyone.
I feel that Sophia's College Campus is very spacious and we have a lot of activities that keeps taking place. We have I think 12 kinds of clubs and every club has its own speciality. Each club conducts competitions and puts up its own stalls such as cupcake, or selling authentic jewellery, bascially a kind of small fair. We have our college festival called Kaleidoscope which lasts for three to four days and trust me as much as you would get tired you'll equally enjoy it.
Sophia college is extremely beautiful and people over here are just amazing . Hostels are available for out station students. Library is really good. Canteen also offers a wide range of food items. A really good atmosphere.
Doing ba over here and the faculty is really nice. Course curriculum is good. Teachers are kind and helpful. They are always ready to clear your doubts. A really good environment to be in. Good exposure. In economic the faculty Is really nice..
No placements are offered. Even though placements are not there..students are taught really nicely in their chose fields so that by the end of the 3 years then can pursue their career smoothly. Extra curricular activities help a lot.
Fees is quite reasonable.
You get lot of chances to participate in so many extra curricular activities. Kaleidoscope is the best . You grow here as a person so much !!
