Sree Narayana College, Erattakulam Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The College has well equipped Central Library in the college divided into two sections, Reference, and General. The general library functions from 9 a.m. to 4 p. m. on all working days. A student is permitted to take one book at a time. Books are issued only on producing identity cards. Books taken from the general library shall not be retained for more than 14 days. Failure to return books on the due date entails a fine of Rs. 1/ per day. A student who fails to pay the fine imposed will not be allowed to borrow books further. Students shall not lend books taken from the library or transfer them to the names of other students. If any book is lost, the student concerned will have to report it immediately to the librarian and pay the three-fold value of the book or replace it. Newspapers, periodicals, etc. in the reading room should not be damaged or misplaced. Students are not allowed to take reference books. They are to be returned immediately after use. Strict silence is to be observed in the reading room. Underlining or writing in the library books is strictly forbidden.

The College has well set up a computer lab with adequate computers and internet connectivity provides a rich environment for the students and staff to access information quickly. The facilities provided help them in meeting the academic requirements and for academic updating.

The College provides accommodation for girl students in the college hostel.

The College Canteen provides vegetarian and non-vegetarian food to the staff and students at a reasonable price. The Canteen Committee takes measures to ensure the quality of food and services provided in the canteen.

The college has a departmental based laboratory facility for the students.

The college has a Gym facility for the students.

The institution gives utmost emphasis to promoting the participation of students in extracurricular and co-curricular activities like sports, cultural activities, and competitions to enhance the creative talents of the students. The college students excel in the field of sports and games and also in cultural activities.

The college has a guest house/waiting room facilities for visiting faculty and student family members.

The College has a seminar hall with a seating capacity to accommodate 100 people. The spacious digital classroom is also used to conduct seminars. The auditorium has a temporary partition and the two parts can accommodate 130 and 200 people.

The college has a health care center with a first and facility for the students.

The College has an Alumni Association has been constituted in the college. The association organizes meetings and has regular formal and informal interactions wherein any alumnus is free to give his/her suggestions. There is a common alumni association as well as individual departmental associations. Usually, the annual alumni meetings are convened on the second Saturday of February every year. The alumni association honors the top scorers of all the UG and PG of courses every year and makes contributions towards the development of the institution. It also honors the retiring staff in a befitting manner. The alumni who hold various higher positions help our students during and after their courses in the college in the education process and career development. The college solicits the suggestions, observations, and opinions of the alumni.
