An entrance test, followed by an interview, is conducted for admission to all PG programmes. Selection is made on the basis of the candidate’s performance in the entrance test and her marks at the UG level.

College Infrastructure
Infrastructure is good but currently out college library is under renovation/remodification process.Wifi is not properly connected so it makes some inconveniences while using for College canteen persons don't have a proper communication with students or attitude towards students.

College Infrastructure
College is in the centre of chennai and it is a big deal to keep this big college in this area. It's now of the porsche area of chennai making it really good. Has designated blocks for many departments. Mostly all classrooms have projectors for digital studies labs are well equipped both computer and science labs.library is been under construction for 2years wifi is good in admin block college is well known for its hostels there are 4 hostels inside college itself very safe very hygienic and good food compared to outside .
Friendly campus, good academics, chill department.

Stella Maris College offers a friendly, chill and supportive environment for MSc Bioinformatics. Good academics, facilities and campus life. Placements are limited for our department, but the companies that visit are good.
