If anyone is looking out for a college that gives them a very good surrounding the this is the college that should be looking out for I am very satisfied with how this college has been built it gives us so many different locations to play sports and overall its good

The academics are really good I like studying the subjects here very interesting teachers also did very nice job and explaining the students as every teacher should be doing and everyone is very experienced

Like every other College placements are offered here as well it help students to get jobs and helps them to get trained with how they are supposed to behave in the outside world and his all been funded by a college

Yes worth it spending here affordable course for all courses and students

I liked my college stella really very much honestly great infrastructure just made many memories I miss the classrooms and feel it must have upgraded alot which is something every college does The canteen was built at different locations too

Teachers explain really well I appreciate my commerce teachers a lot they made the subject very valuable and it was very interesting and never got boring The college definitely does justice to academics

Placements had been held all the time through our college councils to prepare us for the working world Even though I hadn't attended I feel like it was a very well done initiaive by the college making students stable

The college infrastructure is very well equipped and built for a college started around the nineteens. Its got all the RO water facilities and a canteen with the digital screen for ordering. It has all classrooms properly ventilated

I am still studying in this college and honestly I am having a good experience as of now there is still more to explore more room to know about the place studying with your friends while connecting to different people makes it quite nice for me, very happy to join this college although i wish i could explore more courses over the years looking forward to a great graduation which could help me secure spots in for another college or the same depending on my future career as i planned for my goals.

The college has a very good infrastructure with the required facilities and equipments. The college has very well equipped laboratories, a library and multiple hostels and are well maintained. The overall college environment including the living spaces are constantly maintained.

I did my three year B.A. ENGLISH degree programme. It was one of the best time in terms of academics. The environment, the professors everything about SMC is so welcoming and warm. The curriculum is very well and updated with contemporary touch in it.

We have a dedicated placement cell and training for young graduates which prepares you for an entire semester to be job ready. 60 to 70 percent of students who apply. My college was very supportive in terms of getting good placements and encouraged throughout the period.

College infrastructure is excellent, they retain the oldest blocks as well as bring in newer, more sophisticated blocks like the Sancta Sofia block. The library is well stocked and well organised and has free wifi. There are 3 canteens with delicious food, a pani puri stall and a mess for the hostellers.

The quality of academics in Stella lives up to its reputation as one of the best in India. The syllabus for English has been rigorous and challenging but our professors have always pushed us to be our best. The marking system is a bit too stringent though

Stella has brought in companies from all over India as well as MNCs like Deloitte, Natwest, Nielsen and Godrej. The placement process was very efficient and many companies who admitted freshers have also praised the process. Sometimes the companies have taken a long time to onboard the students and maybe the college itself could have taken some action in that regard.

Stella Maris College is an Autonomous college which is located in Cathedral Road Chennai. I joined Stella in the year 2021 and completed B.Com general successfully in 2024. To share my experience there, Teaching is extremely good and it is well known college for extracurricular activities especially charitable work. I've been part of NSS and also there is a compulsory subject to serve in an NGO for few hours. Hope you find this helpful.

There are various subjects that are completely relevant and helpful. In Marketing we had so many types of marketing such as retail marketing, tourism marketing and in Accounting there are Financial Accounting and management Accounting. There were also subjects like international business, business communication etc. The subjects were very easy as well as useful for the future careers.

The placement cell plays major role in Stella were most of the students get job while leaving the college with good pay. Usually placement is conducted only during the third year. Before placements there is also training which is provided by the college to Excel students

The college fee is affordable.

There are various cultural events which are conducted by all the departments. Students can participate in cultural competitions which are conducted by other department also. There is also NSS, NCC, and Clubs such as French club, environmental club, Tamil club, photography club, and more which encourage students to participate more in the club activities

The reason for me giving four stars is that: Our college has superb infrastructure and facilities. We have a green campus filled with large classrooms, a/c halls, seminar rooms, church, four canteens, one juice shop and two auditoriums (one being an OAT). But I feel chairs could be changed because our college has been functioning from 1947 and hence our college always strives to maintain the quaintness of our campus. Yet, the chairs were a bit uncomfortable in some academic blocks.

We have an international curriculum for our honours department. Our degree is integrated with ACCA which is a professional certification. So experienced visiting faculties would come and teach us. Our curriculum is a very upgraded and advanced one.

The quality of our placements is very high. About 60% of our students are placed and the highest package offered was INR 12 lakhs p.a which was offered by D.E Shaw . The average salary offered was 4,00,000 CTC.

Yes. Stella being one of the oldest art and science college in Chennai. It's legacy aligns with its infrastructure, old but gold. Nevertheless it has all necessary facilities, a huge library, sports fields and laboratories. The classrooms and pathways are regularly cleaned and the canteen serves amazing food.

I studied BCA, the quality of teaching served me as a base KSA for my analytic career. I joined Stella because that academic year it was among the top three college all over India in particularly BCA department. Yes we had Data Science, React Js, Corporate based Final Year Project, entrepreneurship etc., which develops the individuals in both programming and business aspects.

If you consider ROI. Stella is the best option. We had top companies ranging from 3-15LPA. Deloitte, McKinsey, PwC, KPMG, ICICI, Deshaw, NielsenIQ. Most of the students above 60% will be placed. But it depends upon the skills the batch hold and chance of going into higher studies.

The college has all the necessary infrastructure, facilities and equipment which is really great for the college as many students will come for the admission. The facilities in our classrooms, laboratories, libraries, sports centers and hostels are good

The studying and the quality of the teaching is really awesome when compared to the other colleges. The curriculum is updated and includes all the recent developments in the college. This field makes us job ready

The quality of the placements is quite not satisfactory as many are not getting good results in their exams. The college is supportive really not that much but has to improve on this side as it can impact many things.

Stella has adequate infrastructure facilities for a college in the central city like projector in each classes, separate labs for each department etc. It also has required facilities for the differently-abled students.

The syllabus will cover all the essential concepts of the course and you will have a clear understanding about it. And everything will be practical and explained how will it be used in a corporate world.
