THDC Institute of Hydro Power Engineering and Technology is a government engineering college located in Tehri, Uttarakhand. The college was established in the year 2011. THDC Institute of Hydro Power Engineering and Technology (THDC-IHET) offers B.Tech/BE in different courses which include civil engineering, mechanical, electrical, electronics and applied science and humanities. Admission to these courses is offered on the basis of score obtained by the candidates in Joint Entrance Examination (JEE-Main) after which the candidates have to appear for the counselling process. For B.Tech Programmes:-
- Candidates have to apply online on the official website of the institute and submit the application form along with the requisite documents.
- Candidates have to appear for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE (Main) and apply for admissions based on JEE Main scores.
- Candidates will be shortlisted based on their performance in the JEE Main and will be called for document verification and fee payment.
- The final selection will be based on JEE Main scores, counselling registration, document verification and fee payment.
- Library- There is a library in the Institute that a decent volume of books, journals, magazines, newspapers, CDs, DVDs, etc.
- Hostel- There is a hostel built for the boys and two hostels built for the girls. The hostels are facilitated with all the necessities.
- Gym- There is a gym provided to the students and the faculty to stay fit and do some exercises in between the busy schedules of the day.
- Indoor Games- The institute has provided the students and faculty with indoor games like ludo, carrom, table tennis, etc. so that they feel relaxed after a productive class.

mamximum placement of this college ?
The campus placements are not so good as not many companies visit the campus due to its rural outscapes hence very few students got placements. Almost 50% students get placed every year. But this college do provide internships in THDC dam which is one of the best biggest hydroelectric power plant. Companies like Azim Premji, Tata Motors, Suzuki etc. Come for recruiting candidates.
Sir I have not given jee exam can I got admission in this college?
If you have not given JEE exam then you can not get admission in THDC Institute of Hydro Power Engineering and Technology, Tehri. You can either apply for colleges which give admission directly through management quota or else you can prepare for JEE this year and score well in the exam and get good colleges.
