No proper schedule of anything let it be exams schedule by UTU. No extra curricular activities at all neither sports nor technical, no room for personality development. If you want to do something good no approval no appreciation. That feeling of being in college is absolutely missing. You will feel imprisoned. Different entry timings for boys and girls as tiger is better biased to eat boys only. Girls are specially told not to do this. so better opt for some private clg instead of this government. Seriously this college needs a lot of improvement and need to change it's mentality.

College days are unforgettable and in fact those days are happy days of our life professors When ever I was wrong they corrected me. They used to be very friendly with us. We used to have competitions. No matter whether we win the competition or not, but they used to tell us participation is very important. They were very supportive and encouraged us in all things to grow up in our life's.college life is so beautiful, nobody can forget those days in their life's and those days will never be back again.

THDC Institute of hydro power engineering and technology is the first hydro power technical institute in Asia. It is the constituent institute of Uttarakhand TEchnical University. Located near the famous Tehri Dam, it has a beautiful and exceptional scenic beauty which makes living in the campus more enjoyable. The institute provides separate hostels for boys and girls with good infrastructure and facilities. The main attraction for enjoyment of students is the annual fest 'Escalade', although many other programs are conducted throughout the year. As for placements, a training and placement cell is established in the college, which has been working in this direction continuously. The institute conducts regular guest seminars/lectures, workshops and is working on national/international tie-up. The faculties are highly qualified and always willing to help the students in any field, including sports. Many people don't know about the college yet, due to its less advertisement. Even though the institute is newly established, it is way better than many other colleges, with its affordable fees making it one of the best college in Uttarakhand and the nation.

Tehri is a beautiful place with a lot of scenic beauty around, therefore same goes with this college. It is located in the scenic and serenity of Uttarakhand. The college was started in 2011 and thus do not have much legacy to talk about, though the faculty here in this college is good. There are helpful faculty members, non-teaching staff, seniors and peer group. This college is a government funded college and is therefore very affordable. There is a lot of scopes to take initiatives and induce new things in the college. There is adequate infrastructure, labs and class are equipped according to the needs of students. College life is good. One can enjoy the scenic beauty around, indulge in various cultural and sports activities.

The infrastructure of the college is very good with delightful views of never ending mountains . A separate team of faculties and students is formed for providing best industrial and vocational experience of the corporate sector. Some best of the faculties of Uttarakhand state and beloved friends. Four months prior to end semester exams of final year, a whole bunch of 35 companies came to college to provide jobs. Sports and gym facilities were provided by the college administration.

What started as a promising dream turned out to be a pathetic college due to utter mismanagement by the college administration. The college has absolute zero placement support and it makes sure that it creates all troubles for students wherever possible.

Average College for B.tech in Uttarakhand

This college is only recommended if you are not able to make it to top NIT's. It is similar to KEC, GBPEC and COT Pantnagar. But top level people are not good at all and are trying their best to ruin the image of the college by accepting donations for admission

The college suffers because of the people at the top positions who do not want it to grow. They want a one man show in the college. But their desires are crushed by good students who have entered the college and taking it to new heights. It is a good place to be in.

The college is backed by the government of Uttarakhand. It offers B.Tech in 4 streams. the faculty is good but there is a problem with the top level management of the college who are just taking government salaries and funding their own projects . The atmosphere is student friendly.

The College is situated in the high mountains of tehri garhwal and is certainly among the one of the most beautiful engineering colleges. The infrastructure is state of art and facilities like library, computer labs, workshop etc. are all present. But bye problem is classes are not run properly in fact in some semesters classes are not run at all. The placement is almost nil from the college and they send some students for off campus placements or joint placement with other colleges.

The first thing which will grab your attention is the awesome location of the college. It is situated near the dam site of Tehri dam which makes it one of the beautiful campus in India. But there are problems with the classes as college often witnesses strikes from different unions operating in the campus. The placement is also very bad and hardly anyone gets campus placement.

THDC-IHET is a GEC(Government Engineering College) based in Uttarakhand. It offers real good faculty and laboratory facilities, especially for Mechanical Engineering. The college is near Tehri Dam which is often used as a practical training ground for budding engineers. The only problem is lack of leadership at the top level due to which the college is not accelerating at the required pace.

The college is backed by THDC India Ltd(Ministry of Power, Gov. of India) and UTU Dehradun. The facility is trained and labs are well equipped .However the college lacks dedicated top level management . The atmosphere is cordial and you meet great tech geeks.
