The programme is divided into six semesters with two semesters in an academic year. Basic concepts of IT are imparted to the students. BCA provides understanding and skills related to the use of computer and its applications. The basic objective of the programme is to open a channel of admission for computing courses for students.
At United College of Education, the faculty is chosen with great care keeping in mind the diversity of the programme. Ample time for practice is provided to the students with well-equipped computer labs. In the fourth semester, students are assigned with some topic for research and are asked to write a term paper on their study.

Candidates applying for Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) will have to take a common Entrance test (CET) conducted by Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University in the months of April & May, based on merit in this examination, students are admitted to the programme through Common Counseling Session..
50% aggregate in 12th with English (core or elective or functional) and Mathematics or Computer Science/ informatics practice/Computer applications.
Three year diploma in a branch of engineering from polytechnic approved by All India Council for technical education and affiliated to a recognized examining body with a minimum of 50% aggregate.
