Bachelor of Journalism & Mass Communication (BJMC) is a three years full-time degree course. With the world of Media & Journalism gaining importance, there is a need for a very strong foundation for young students who aspire to take it as a profession. At UCE, special emphasis is laid on creating an environment where the students pursuing BJMC course can have a healthy interaction. The students are sent to various talk shows with leading TV Channels for interface with eminent media personalities. Realizing the potentiality of the field UCE was the pioneer Institute to offer Mass Media education. The course offered at this level has been designed to include each & every aspect of journalism and mass media.
The admissions are carried out strictly on merit basis through a Common Entrance Test (CET) conducted by Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University(GGSIPU), Dwarka. A candidate should satisfy the above mentioned eligibility criteria and qualify CET-GGSIPU to attend the counseling for further admission process in the institute.
Admissions through Management Quota
A candidate should satisfy the above-mentioned eligibility criteria and obtain CET-GGSIPU Rank. The Institute conducts admission for 10% seats under management quota which is done on the basis of merit of qualifying examination and CET-GGSIPU Rank.
Student applying for the course should have cleared the 12th class board examinations with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and should have passed in English (Core, Elective or Functional) as a subject.
