At Veer Shahid Mahavidyalaya, I studied for my B.Com because I was interested in business and finance. The quality of education is good, with helpful teachers. However, the curriculum could be updated more often to include recent trends and developments. While it covers essential topics, more current practices would better prepare us for jobs after graduation.
College Infra
The college has the basic infrastructure and facilities needed for both studies and activities. Classrooms have projectors and whiteboards. The library has useful books and resources but could be updated. Labs are good for hands-on work, though some equipment is outdated. The computer lab has the necessary computers and software, but newer technology would be better. Sports facilities are decent but could be improved. Overall, while the college covers essential needs, updating some areas would make it better.
Campus Life
The campus is spacious, though it could use some modern upgrades. I’ve enjoyed participating in various activities, including sports and cultural events, and I’ve joined a few clubs and societies that have enriched my college experience. The location is convenient, but transportation options can be a bit limited. I’ve found that the campus is equipped to handle emergencies with basic facilities and helpful support staff.
Placements
At Veer Shahid Mahavidyalaya, the placement quality was average. A moderate percentage of students were placed, with some securing high packages, though details varied. The average salary offered was on the lower side. The placement process was relatively straightforward but could have been better organized. Veer Shaheed Kesari Chand Rajkiya Snatkottar Mahavidyalaya, Dakpathar is affiliated by Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University, Pauri Garhwal. it has various ug and post graduate courses. ug courses are, b.a, b.sc, b.com, bba etc. also there is b.ed courses, some of the professional courses also offers is yoga, project shikhar, mass communication, bba etc. however this university has enrolled with uttarakhanda open university for many distance learning course.
