As per past year trends, the CAT 2026 registration form is expected to be extended by a week, but no official statement has been issued. MBA aspirants must not wait for the CAT 2026 registration last date to submit their application. The CAT 2026 exam will be conducted on November 29, 2026, in around 170 cities across India.
The CAT 2026 registration link was released by IIM Indore on the official website. The CAT application form 2026 link was activated on August 03, 2026. The CAT 2026 registration link will remain active till the last date of CAT registration, September 15, 2026. Candidates who wish to appear for the CAT 2026 exam can register using the official link.

CAT 2026 last date to register for the exam is September 15, 2026. The CAT 2026 registration will close at 5 PM. Candidates who wish to take the CAT 2026 exam on November 29, 2026 must fill out the registration form before the deadline. The last date to apply for CAT 2026 might be extended by a week, but there is no official confirmation. Candidates are advised not to wait til the last minute to fill out the application form.

The CAT 2026 conducting authority has increased the CAT 2026 application fee by Rs. 100 and Rs. 50. Candidates who are willing to take the CAT 2026 exam can check the CAT 2026 application fee. The CAT 2026 exam fee for general and reserved category candidates is therefore mentioned in the table below. The CAT 2026 registration fee is non-refundable.

Before filling out the CAT 2026 registration and application form, candidates must take a look at the eligibility criteria for the CAT 2026 exam.
Educational Qualification: Candidates who have completed their bachelor’s degree.
Students in their final year of graduation can also apply.
Minimum Marks Needed: CAT 2026 Minimum marks for general/EWS/NC-OBC is 50%, while minimum marks for SC/ST/PwD candidates is 45%
Upper Age: There is no upper age limit for taking the CAT 2026 exam.
Reservation criteria: Reservation criteria are mentioned in the CAT 2026 eligibility criteria, containing the legal percentage of reservation for each Category (make sure to upload the relevant certificate in the application form)
Work Experience: Prior work experience is not mandatory for CAT MBA.
To fill the CAT 2026 registration form candidates can follow the simple steps mentioned below.
Visit the CAT 2026 official website at iimcat.ac.in.
Click on the New Candidate Registration link to start the registration process as a new user.
Candidates will be directed to the registration page; read the instructions carefully and start filling out the CAT 2026 application form.
Aspirants will be required to fill out details such as Name, date of birth, email address, country, mobile number, and lastly, captcha.
After entering all the required details, click on the “Generate OTP” button.
Enter the OTP received to verify your details.
Use the User ID and password received by email to log in to the application portal.
Log in to the candidate's dashboard and fill out the CAT exam application form 2025, which includes several sections like:
Personal details
Communication address
Emergency contact details
Upload documents
Academic details
Once you have filled in all the details, choose your CAT 2026 program preferences and IIMs in the CAT 2026 application form.
Select your preferred CAT 2026 test cities (5 cities to be selected).
Finally, pay the CAT 2026 application fees and submit your application.
