NMAT 2026 in 30 Days: Section-Wise Plan Before the November 2 Window Opens - With the NMAT 2026 exam window opening on November 2, candidates have limited time to prepare for the upcoming exam. There are three subjects in the examination: Language Skills, Quantitative Skills and Logical Reasoning. The NMAT 2026 exam comprises 108 questions to be attempted in 120 minutes, with 36 questions in each section and separate sectional time limits. A NMAT 30-day plan should therefore combine concept revision, sectional tests and full-length mocks. Apart from this, candidates must also follow a good revision plan to ensure they do not leave any important topics.

A focused NMAT 2026 strategy can help you make the most of the final month. Divide your preparation into concept building, targeted practice, mock tests and revision while gradually improving speed, accuracy and question selection.
Start by revising the fundamentals of all three NMAT sections. Follow the NMAT exam pattern to understand the number of questions, sectional time limits and difficulty level. Take one diagnostic sectional test for each section and analyse your mistakes. Identify topics where you lose marks because of weak concepts, calculation errors or poor comprehension. Create a short list of weak areas and prioritise them instead of trying to cover every topic equally.
Use this week to strengthen topics that frequently appear and can be solved accurately with practice. In Quantitative Skills, focus on arithmetic, algebra, number systems and data interpretation. For Language Skills, revise grammar, vocabulary and reading comprehension. In Logical Reasoning, practise arrangements, puzzles, critical reasoning and other common question types. Maintain an error log and revisit every incorrect question to understand the reason behind the mistake.
By the third week, reduce passive learning and increase timed question-solving. Practise mixed sets instead of solving questions topic by topic. Start following the NMAT section wise time limit during sectional tests so that you become comfortable solving questions under pressure. After every test, analyse skipped, incorrect and time-consuming questions. Your goal should be to improve both accuracy and the number of questions you can confidently attempt within the available time.
Take a full-length mock regularly during these five days and analyse it in detail rather than simply checking your score. Compare your performance across sections, identify recurring mistakes and revise the concepts behind them. Practise switching between easy and difficult questions without getting stuck. At this stage, your NMAT tips should focus on smart question selection, avoiding unnecessary calculations and maintaining consistent accuracy throughout the test.

Use the final three NMAT preparation days for revision rather than learning completely new concepts. Revisit formulas, grammar rules, important vocabulary, shortcuts and questions from your error log. Take one or two final mocks at the same time of day as your scheduled exam, if possible. Refine your NMAT attempt strategy based on your mock performance and decide how you will manage difficult questions without allowing them to consume excessive time.
Do not overload yourself with new topics on the final day. Spend a few hours revising formulas, key concepts, vocabulary and your personal mistake log. Avoid taking a difficult full-length mock that could affect your confidence. Check your exam details, identification documents and test-day requirements in advance. Get adequate sleep and keep your preparation light so that you enter the exam fresh and focused.
A practical NMAT strategy should fit around college classes or working hours. Follow a fixed daily schedule that balances concept revision, timed practice, mock tests and analysis without causing burnout.
Days | Daily Focus | Working Students | College Students |
Days 1-3 | Assess preparation and revise basics | 1.5-2 hours after work | 2-3 hours after classes |
Days 4-7 | Quantitative Skills + basic LR | 2 hours daily | 2-3 hours daily |
Days 8-10 | Language Skills + Reading Comprehension | 1.5-2 hours | 2-3 hours |
Days 11-14 | Arithmetic, DI, puzzles and reasoning | 2 hours | 2-3 hours |
Days 15-17 | Mixed sectional practice | 2 hours with timed sets | 2-3 hours with timed sets |
Days 18-21 | Sectional tests + error analysis | 2 hours | 2-3 hours |
Days 22-24 | Full-length mock tests | 2.5-3 hours on available days | 2.5-3 hours |
Days 25-26 | Mock analysis + weak-topic revision | 2 hours | 2-3 hours |
Days 27-28 | Final full-length mock + revision | 2.5-3 hours | 2.5-3 hours |
Day 29 | Formula, vocabulary and error-log revision | 1.5 hours | 1.5-2 hours |
Day 30 | Light revision and exam preparation | 1 hour maximum | 1 hour maximum |
Around 8–10 full-length mocks can be useful during the final month if candidates have enough time to analyse each test and work on the mistakes identified. Thus, to help candidates we at Careers360 offer a free NMAT mock test. This test has been designed by experts and is based on the latest exam pattern. It helps candidates to know about their strong and weak areas and also lets them create a proper attempt strategy.
