Infrastructure is one of the few best in the country. The classrooms are equipped with recent technologies to aid learning. There are multiple facilities for sports. The library has best journals and access to facilities like bloomberg terminal and CMI prowess.
Course and curriculum is designed according to industry requirements with constant updating of the subjects. The case based learning pedagogy makes the students ready to take on the real world business problems.
Multiple companies from various industry visit the campus to hire the students. Students get better opportunities year on year. Placement situation is decent even in bad market. Although there is scope of improvement.
The fees are a bit high based on the Return of investment it provides according to placements. Although they justify this by providing top notch facilities. Overall I personally feel that it justifies the cost they charge you.
Campus life is one of the best in India. The swimming pool is a top class one which is absent in a lot of colleges in India. Beautiful campus - inded the gods own campus. The student clubs make life more interesting and fun.
The campus is very expansive and very well equipped with essential infrastructure. The hostels are very good with good ventilation and provate living spaces. There are 2 cafeterias both big enough to accommodate all the students on campus.
The courses are designed according to the need of the industry. Students have choice to select the courses in the 2nd year. The professors are industry experts having a vast amount of academic knowledge.
The placements are well rounded across different management domains like marketing, finance,HR, operations. However marketing has a major chunk. Well known companies across India come to the campus for summers as well as the finals.
Overall the college is slightly at a higher range according to fees. But they do try to provide quite good facilities to justify the fees charged by them. Fees are aroun 23-25 lakhs for both years combined.
campus life is amazing with lots of greenery around. All essentials are readily available with a 24/7 canteen in place. There are cycles available for transport around the campus everywhere. Truly an experience worth living.
The campus is very large and well equipped with all the necessary infrastructure to support learning, sports and extra curriculars. The sports facilities are one of the best. There is a well equipped library with latest journals.
The course and curriculum can be tough and rigorous at times but that is how it is across all the MBA colleges in India. The professors are approachable and often take time to teach things even out of the syllabus.
Placements scenario has been improving over the past years and there is growth every year. This is a positive sign for people joining the college. Reputed companies across India and some MNCs visit the campus with promising opportunities.
The fees are comparatively on the higher side and sometimes the overalll experience might not justify the fees. Although that is just one of the areas that could need improvement. But it is still above par with colleges in a similar level.
Campus life is one of the things to look forward to at GIM. There are a lot of extracurriculars and sports that happen year round. It is a 50 acre huge campus with lot of greenery around and within the campus. There are more than 15 student clubs which make the campus experience better.
The college has some state of the art facilities. The classrooms are well equipped with updated technologies. Softwares like bloomberg terminals are present to guide students. Spacious cafeterias to accommodate the students.
The faculty of GIM have vast experience and are very knowledgeable. Having taught in IIMs and worked in the industry they help us gain practical knowledge through cases and projects. The case based pedagogy makes the classes interesting.
There are multiple MNCs, and top Indian companies that visit that campus for summers and for finals. The placements are growing year on year showing signs of positive growth for the college. Opportunities for students are across multiple industries.
Overall the college is worth the money that you spend. The overall campus experience makes it worthwhile. The fees are around 23 lakhs for both years. Might have increased for the new batch. Although the facilities justify the cost.
It is called the God's own campus and indeed it is one. The serene view of the mountains are worth it all. The campus is a student run campus where the students work with students for the students. It is always lively in the campus. GIM genuinely never sleeps.
We have a completely residential campus with state of the art infrastructure including a football field, tennis courts, smart classrooms and 2 auditoriums for student gatherings. The management is always striving towards making it a space that is more modern while imparting learnings.
I'm a part of the flagship program of GIM - PG Core with a major in HR. The professors keep themselves updated with the market trends and best practices of the industry to ensure that students go out in the world with maximum knowledge. The curriculum is updated and the pedagogy is constantly revised to meet the needs of the students.
The placement process is very transparent and carried out by keeping the best interest of tthe students in mind. My experience with the placement process has been very satisfying and I've had no complaints.
The return on investment is great and the results and learnings I've gained in the process has been worth the money spent. The effort taken by the management to make the life of students easier at GIM are in tandem with the investment on the education.
The students of GIM hail from various parts of the country that differ widely in culture and backgrounds which helps in diversifying perspectives on multiple situations and life. The campus is always lively with students enjoying themselves while also helping each other in all ways possible.
The college has great infrastructure from academic to sports. Well stacked library with up to date books and journals. There are around 9 hostels with ample of rooms for every student on campus to have their own space. Sports facilities are well managed.
The subjects that we study here prepare us for industry roles. The subjects are updated according to the trends in the industry. The faculty are knowledgeable with relevant industry experience. Students have the liberty to choose their subjects in 2nd year.
The placements are on par according to the colleges in India in the similar tier. Every student gets a chance across domains to grab an opportunity. There are proper channels for placements that take care and make the process smoother.
The college is whole in whole a value for money that we spend. A slightly on the higher range of fees which could be an area for improvement. But as a student the campus and college makes sure it is worth every penny spent.
This is one of the best part of the college, throughout the year there are activities that take place that keep students engaged. The campus is situated in the hills making every view a scenic one. The campus is mostly student run.
The campus is expansive and well-equipped, featuring all the essential infrastructure, modern facilities, and state-of-the-art equipment needed to support academic, research, and extracurricular activities, creating a conducive learning environment.
The course and curriculum can at times feel demanding, but they are effectively taught. Professors are knowledgeable, approachable, and often go the extra mile to ensure students understand the concepts thoroughly, making learning more manageable.
The placement scenario has been steadily improving, with many reputed and well-known companies visiting the campus for recruitment, offering promising opportunities and packages to students across various disciplines.
The fees may be on the higher side, but the quality of infrastructure, modern facilities, and overall campus experience justify the cost, making it a worthwhile investment in terms of education and opportunities.
Campus life here is truly one of the best—vibrant and full of energy at any hour, whether it's 10 a.m. or 2 a.m. The lively atmosphere, engaging community, and constant activity create a motivating and inspiring environment for students.
Has more than just essential amenities. Gym, swimming pool, and sports facilities all present. Hostels are good and problems are addressed quickly. Just the library and the football ground need to be upgraded.
Faculty is decent, case study pedagogy is employed. However, more practical courses should be introduced. Important resources are subscribed to. Live project and workshop opportunities are also there.
Pretty decent for this tier of MBA colleges, one of the bests in its league. Training sessions are arranged and real exposure is given. Opportunities are ample, especially in some of the streams. Really facilitates the process.
Good infrastructure with all necessities. Well equipped facilities for academics and extra curricular activities. Sports facilities are ample from tennis court to football ground and indoor games as well. Overall well maintained infrastructure.
Average faculty with few exceptional ones. Less emphasis case competitions and case based pedagogy. Curriculum above average but the implementation and application needs improvement. Library 24×7 with great books
Avg placement cycle with reputed companies. Needs improvement in corporate relations. Hardworking committees make it possible for most of students to get placed in reputed companies. Still more areas improvement needed
Below average returns on investment given the high fees. With increasing expenses on and off campus, the overall value for money needs to far better. Moreover, the below average returns in terms of placement.
The most lively and amazing campus life. Rating it 5 star for a reason. The most memorable and cherishing part of our lives. This is reflection of the whole batch not just my perspective. With 22+ clubs and their events and sports activities, parties, the time spent is the most beautiful on campus.
There is over 50 acres of land for the campus, its very big and lively and the campus literally never sleeps, there is always something or the other going on in the campus. Its situated near the western ghats so you have that as well
Great focus on academics with really good teachers, but recently most of the good professors are getting poached by other MBA colleges offering them a higher salary, apart from that the focus on academics is good
Placements are decent even in bad markets, obviously not on the level of an IIM but certainly not as bad as people think a tier 2 B school has, not everyone gets placed during SIP but for finals its always 100% placement
Hii,
If banking, finance, and insurance are of interest to you, pick GIM Goa (BFSI); it has a strong brand and excellent industry connections.
If you enjoy managing factories, supply chains, or logistics, SIOM Nashik (Operations) is the best option. It's a specialized field with excellent operations.
Overall, IMI Bhubaneswar (PGDM) is respectable, but not as good as SIOM or GIM.
GIM Goa (BFSI) is the best choice overall because of its superior brand, placements, and potential for expansion.
SIOM Nashik is the best for operations only.
Hello,
Studying MBA Finance from NIA Pune or NIBM Pune can be valuable if you aim to specialize in insurance, banking, or financial services. These institutes focus on niche domains, offering strong industry connections, sector-specific curriculum, and placement opportunities in reputed organizations within their respective fields. However, if you're looking for broader career prospects and better brand recognition, GLIM Chennai or GIM Goa may be better choices. Both are well-regarded for their comprehensive programs, diverse peer groups, and strong placement records across various sectors.
