I hope the review is useful to the students looking for MBA

    College Infrastructure

The campus is expansive and well-equipped, featuring all the essential infrastructure, modern facilities, and state-of-the-art equipment needed to support academic, research, and extracurricular activities, creating a conducive learning environment.

    Academics

The course and curriculum can at times feel demanding, but they are effectively taught. Professors are knowledgeable, approachable, and often go the extra mile to ensure students understand the concepts thoroughly, making learning more manageable.

    Placements

The placement scenario has been steadily improving, with many reputed and well-known companies visiting the campus for recruitment, offering promising opportunities and packages to students across various disciplines.

    Value for Money

The fees may be on the higher side, but the quality of infrastructure, modern facilities, and overall campus experience justify the cost, making it a worthwhile investment in terms of education and opportunities.

    Campus Life

Campus life here is truly one of the best—vibrant and full of energy at any hour, whether it's 10 a.m. or 2 a.m. The lively atmosphere, engaging community, and constant activity create a motivating and inspiring environment for students.

    Pretty long, repetitive.

    College Infrastructure

Has more than just essential amenities. Gym, swimming pool, and sports facilities all present. Hostels are good and problems are addressed quickly. Just the library and the football ground need to be upgraded.

    Academics

Faculty is decent, case study pedagogy is employed. However, more practical courses should be introduced. Important resources are subscribed to. Live project and workshop opportunities are also there.

    Placements

Pretty decent for this tier of MBA colleges, one of the bests in its league. Training sessions are arranged and real exposure is given. Opportunities are ample, especially in some of the streams. Really facilitates the process.

Thumbs up to the experience that I've had

    College Infrastructure

Good infrastructure with all necessities. Well equipped facilities for academics and extra curricular activities. Sports facilities are ample from tennis court to football ground and indoor games as well. Overall well maintained infrastructure.

    Academics

Average faculty with few exceptional ones. Less emphasis case competitions and case based pedagogy. Curriculum above average but the implementation and application needs improvement. Library 24×7 with great books

    Placements

Avg placement cycle with reputed companies. Needs improvement in corporate relations. Hardworking committees make it possible for most of students to get placed in reputed companies. Still more areas improvement needed

    Value for Money

Below average returns on investment given the high fees. With increasing expenses on and off campus, the overall value for money needs to far better. Moreover, the below average returns in terms of placement.

    Campus Life

The most lively and amazing campus life. Rating it 5 star for a reason. The most memorable and cherishing part of our lives. This is reflection of the whole batch not just my perspective. With 22+ clubs and their events and sports activities, parties, the time spent is the most beautiful on campus.

    Great experience

    College Infrastructure

There is over 50 acres of land for the campus, its very big and lively and the campus literally never sleeps, there is always something or the other going on in the campus. Its situated near the western ghats so you have that as well

    Academics

Great focus on academics with really good teachers, but recently most of the good professors are getting poached by other MBA colleges offering them a higher salary, apart from that the focus on academics is good

    Placements

Placements are decent even in bad markets, obviously not on the level of an IIM but certainly not as bad as people think a tier 2 B school has, not everyone gets placed during SIP but for finals its always 100% placement

    It was a good experience

    College Infrastructure

The campus is very big and has all the necessary infrastructure, facilities and equipment required - from sports to the Bloomberg terminal. There's WiFi accessibility everywhere and the hostels are super clean.

    Academics

The course and curriculum can sometimes feel a bit heavy but they are taught well. Professors often use assignments, group work and activities to bring another way of learning which has helped a lot. Although, there are always some imperfections, I feel like the academics are relevant and will help me in the future.

    Placements

The placement scenario has been getting better, a lot of good companies come to the campus to hire and everyone gets opportunities. The college has a dedicated student body for placements and they are supportive as well.

    Value for Money

The fees is a bit steep but the infrastructure and facilities provided make it worth the money. There are a lot of club led fun activities that happen that keeps everyone engaged. I feel like it's worth the money but concessions can be made.

    Campus Life

The campus life is amazing. It is a residential program so you have to stay on campus. There are a lot of things to do, sports, library, swimming etc. Everything is available. There's a doctor on the campus as well for any emergencies.

    Very good overall experience

    College Infrastructure

Very good infrastructure. Has everything. The class rooms are well equipped and there is amazing facilities for extra curricular. The librarian are upto date and the institute caters to all kinds of students.

    Academics

Syllabus is upto date . Faculty can be better , some are good. Some are horrible . Teaching pedagogy is good most of the time . They syllabus makes you job ready although there can be a more practical approach

    Placements

Placements are good if you work hard for it .. the placement team is also very hardworking It is intimidating initially but it all works out I have seen that the college works hard for placement and that's a good sign

Good place to learn, grow and upskill yourself, lit expensive

    College Infrastructure

Infrastructure is really good, we have the best equipments and lab present on the campus, for one of the market research project i got access to using eye tracking device which i could use to understand the curiosity of the clients towards my advertisements. Everything seems to be nice, from hygeine to food, on point

    Academics

Academic is taken very seriously and it is balanced well with extra curricular activities which helps students to collaborate and upskill themselves at the same time. Faculties are really really nice who are approachable

    Placements

The placement activity is taken care by the students and it is going really good so far, so far I haven't noticed any sort of bias or favoritism. Gim is very honest when it comes to their placement report and there is no inflation

    Value for Money

I think the fees is way too high for students coming from middle class background, when compared to the average package offered, it is not a really good ROI as the students are under alot of burden if they have taken any student loan

    Campus Life

One of the best campus life so far, whether it is 10am or 2am, the campus stays alive, it motivates you to really work hard on yourself with so many facilities present. The seniors are amazing and their is an environment to help people around which is the core strength of gim where everyone wants to grow with each other

    Great experience

    College Infrastructure

Great infrastructure with all the facilities and essentials that are needed. Hostels are very good and Health club’s facilities for food is the best part of my college. Would suggest students to join HEALTH CLUB rather than other clubs in the college

    Academics

Learning experiences are excellent but some faculties sucks and they are very strict. Rules and regulations are very important in GIM so if you are a person who’s lazy, i would rather suggest not to join this college

    Placements

Internship placements are not good enougb for big data analytics but final placement reports are good and i hope we can get good placements in the last term. Isse zyada mat likhwao bhai please haath jodta hu

    College Infrastructure

The campus is very beautiful, with all amenities available around me like gym, swimming pool, basketball court, tennis court, Football field, cricket ground, Badminton, table tennis and carrom and other sports.

    Academics

Little challenging but it provides you with great inclass and out class activities to study, we have holistic approach for classes which is nice and gives experential learning experience overall in this college.

    Placements

They teach you with all every ready skills that are necessary for the corporate world, also make sure you're ready to enter as a professional and suits the recruiters in what would be best for you as a manager.

    Value for Money

Definitely, it's perfect here on campus. You make friends who then turn out to be your family and then enjoy every bit of it. I will definitely miss my campus life here at GIM.

    Campus Life

It is a lot of fun, a lot of activities and events happen on campus and there is absolutely no rest. That's why the GIM tagline says 'GIM never sleeps'. It is definitly a beautiful journey.

    Others

I love the life that I am living on campus here with amazing teachers and faculty around campus. It's an experience everyone should definitely have once in their lifetime. You get to experience world class campus life and amenities around here, with extensive menu and facilities. It's lovely.

GIM has given more than a degree, it shaped my perspective

    College Infrastructure

My first year of Goa Institute Management was great with great infrastructure and faculty guide, there is always new things happening after class, the engaging environment wont make your GIM life boring, the clubs here are great with lot of events happening.

    Academics

Talking about academics, they follow what most top B school do the, the books are the same, coking to faculty they are great with deep subject knowledge, which will help us for case studies comp. The first year will be mix of all the major subjects giving you idea of all

    Placements

Placement here at GIM is good, the average here is 15-16 and SIP is fine, Final placement they make you well prepared for all the companies, case comps will give you better placement thats for sure, so if you are planning to get in top companies case comp is the way.

    Value for Money

Value for money would be yeah fine, taking infrastructure into consideration and the facilities given, yes its great you have everything here, talking about placement it can be better comparing to what we are paying, but in long term i believe GIM going to be great.

    Campus Life

Campus life is great with all the amenities given, you have swimming pool here which most of the top b school doesn’t have, full equipped sports facilities, even if you dont know that sport i bet you can learn it here, hostel is great first year you will get twin sharing and second year single sharing, Food i would say it depends, you have all the options

Have a question related to GIM Goa ?

    Hii,

If banking, finance, and insurance are of interest to you, pick GIM Goa (BFSI); it has a strong brand and excellent industry connections.
If you enjoy managing factories, supply chains, or logistics, SIOM Nashik (Operations) is the best option. It's a specialized field with excellent operations.
Overall, IMI Bhubaneswar (PGDM) is respectable, but not as good as SIOM or GIM.

GIM Goa (BFSI) is the best choice overall because of its superior brand, placements, and potential for expansion.
SIOM Nashik is the best for operations only.

Is it worthy to study MBA Finance from NIA PUNE or NIBM PUNE rather than from GLIM Chennai or GIM Goa.

    Hello,

Studying MBA Finance from NIA Pune or NIBM Pune can be valuable if you aim to specialize in insurance, banking, or financial services. These institutes focus on niche domains, offering strong industry connections, sector-specific curriculum, and placement opportunities in reputed organizations within their respective fields. However, if you're looking for broader career prospects and better brand recognition, GLIM Chennai or GIM Goa may be better choices. Both are well-regarded for their comprehensive programs, diverse peer groups, and strong placement records across various sectors.

Hello friends, 10- 85 12- 93.8 B.com(2021)- 83 Work experience - 14 months CAT raw score - 55, VARC-0, LRDI-26, QA-29 What calls can I expect and I am targeting for GIM, GLIM Chennai, IMT Ghaziabad, IMI Delhi. Any other calls can I expect and Is there any chance of getting IIM SAP call? Please guide

    Hello Varun,

Based on your CAT raw score and profile, here's a breakdown of your potential calls and your chances for different institutes:

    1. GIM Goa, GLIM Chennai, IMT Ghaziabad, IMI Delhi:

    • GIM Goa : With a score of 55, GIM typically looks for candidates with a higher percentile. However, you may still get a call if your overall profile, including your academic background (93.8% in Class 12, work experience), is strong.

    • GLIM Chennai : GLIM has a competitive cutoff, but with a solid academic record and work experience, there may be a chance, especially if you belong to a diverse background.

    • IMT Ghaziabad : Your chances with a score of 55 are slim, as IMT usually looks for a higher percentile. However, if you have an impressive profile and high academic scores, there may still be a slim possibility.

    • IMI Delhi : Similar to IMT, IMI Delhi has high cutoffs and competitive selection criteria. However, work experience and other factors like diversity can sometimes offset a lower CAT score.

      2. IIM SAP (Special Admission Program) :

    • The IIM SAP is typically for candidates with significant work experience or other unique factors. Your 14 months of work experience could be beneficial, but your CAT score of 55 is on the lower side, making it unlikely to receive an IIM SAP call. However, if you have other outstanding features in your profile (e.g., exceptional academic performance, leadership qualities, etc.), you might still stand a chance.

      3. Other Possible Calls :

    • UPES Dehradun : Known for considering work experience and unique profiles, UPES could be a potential option for you.

    • Bimtech Noida : You could expect a call here, considering your work experience and overall profile.

    • XIMB Bhubaneswar : This institute also considers profiles with good work experience, and you may stand a chance despite your score.

Overall, you can expect a call from institutes that weigh work experience and academic performance heavily, but you should also be prepared for lower-tier institutes in terms of CAT score cutoffs. Ensure you target institutes that match your profile for better chances.

I hope this answer helps you. If you have more queries then feel free to share your questions with us we will be happy to assist you.
