Master of Technology (M.Tech) in Chemical Engineering is a two-year (4 semesters) full-time postgraduate program offered at B R Ambedkar National Institute of Technology Jalandhar.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who have been awarded Bachelor`s Degree in Engineering/ Technology from a recognized university with a valid GATE score or Master`s Degree in appropriate branch of Sciences with a first class or minimum 60% marks (CGPA 6.5) or equivalent and a valid GATE score or UGC/CSIR fellowship are eligible to apply for admission to MTech programme of the institute. However, if the seats remain vacant after admitting GATE qualified candidates, candidates without GATE score may be considered.
Candidates sponsored by UGC/AICTE approved technical institutes having same academic qualifications as required at 4.2.a.i and preferably two years’ experience of full time job are eligible to apply for MTech programme, A valid GATE score or UGC/CSIR fellowship is not required for such candidates
Candidates sponsored by industries /R&D organization/national laboratories having academic qualifications as in 4.2.a.i preferably with two years of experience are eligible to apply for the MTech programme. However, a valid GATE score or UGC/CSIR fellowship is not required for such candidates.

Admission Details

Applications on prescribed format will be invited once an year through advertisement in the national dailies media and on institute`s website.
The Board of Governors of the Institute on the recommendations of the Institute Senate will decide about the number of seats for various Departments/Centres/Specializations. The reservation of seats for SC/ST/OBC/PWD Candidates will be as per the Govt. of India norms provided the SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates have valid GATE score and satisfy other Senate requirements.
The BOAC will decide on the operational aspects of selection of candidates.
Regarding all matters concerning selection of candidates, the decision of the Chairman Senate or his nominee, viz; Chairman, BOAC will be final.
The selected candidates will have to satisfy all other admission requirements stipulated in the letter of offer of admission and only then they will be admitted to MTech programme after payment of the prescribed fee and other charges. If at any subsequent time, It is found that the candidates do not fulfill any of the stipulated requirements, the Chairman, BOAC may revoke his/her admission to the programme with the approval of the Director.

Batch of 2018-01-01 | M.Tech Chemical Engineering

College Infrastructure

College has all the necessary infrastructure. Labs are well equipped and air conditioned. Library has vast range of books. Whole campus has WiFi. Campus is generally clean and food is hygienic. There are various facilities like gym, playground, sports equipment etc. Both AC and non-ac rooms with 1/2/3/4/6 bed available.
