The minimum and maximum duration of these programs are two and three years respectively. Each year consists of two semesters, summer and winter terms. The structure and details of the curriculum for these programs are given separately.

The program is designed giving importance to theory as well as exposure to industry needs. It consists of two parts: course work and a year-long project. The course work is structured to give solid theoretical foundations and practical, hands-on experience which would enable the student to tackle problems in the area of signal processing, communications, and machine learning in a holistic manner.

The one year long project is supposed to be in partnership with industry so that the students solve problems which are of relevance to product design and development. The project is done in-house, the problem definition and part of technical support comes from an industry or reputed government R&D laboratories.

In order to prepare the students for product development by the end of first year, courses like Advanced Programming Practicum, Embedded Systems, IoT Systems, and Systems Design are included in the curriculum. In addition to the post graduate project, these courses familiarize the students with the system design aspects relevant to signal processing, communications, and machine learning

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who have qualified for the award of Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology from a recognized University or Institute in an appropriate discipline are eligible to apply for admission to the M.Tech. program. Candidates with M.Sc. degree from a recognized University or Institute in an appropriate discipline may also be eligible to apply for admission to the M.Tech. program. Exact eligibility criteria will be as prescribed in the regulations and approved by the senate of the Institute from time to time and announced by the Institute for admission in each year. The admission of the candidate is subject to approval by the Chairman, senate and this shall be reported to the senate.

Admission Details

A valid score in the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) are eligible to apply for admission.
For admission to M.Tech. course under the regular/sponsored category, the concerned School shall adopt qualifying criteria for short-listing for interview/written test and prepare a merit list of selected candidates after interview/written test for all the categories.

College Infrastructure

Our college has best infrastructure and hostel facilities. It is one of the well known IITs. Institute is situated at a beautiful place of Himachal Pradesh with peaceful and full of greenary environment. Classrooms are fully modernized and furnished. Hostels are also provided with every facilities like water coolers with clean water, hygienic washrooms good food in mess etc.

College Infrastructure

Our college has great infrastructure. The campus is beautiful which is situated in mountains. Hostel rooms are pretty good and fully equipped with all amenities. Top quality instruments are available in all the labs. Wi Fi facility is also very fast and good. Food available in all the canteens is very good.
