48 MonthsBachelor of Technology in Electrical Engineering is four years (8 Semester) full-time undergraduate engineering program offered at the Indian Institute of Technology Ropar.
The undergraduate programme provides the students with a strong background in the four broad areas of Electrical Engineering, namely, communication technology, control technology, electronics, and power & energy. A strong exposure to state-of-the-art technologies is further provided through elective courses that are carefully designed for the interested students.The Department has produced outstanding students and academic toppers, including the institute topper securing President's Gold Medal for the pioneering batch of 2008 entry students. Both the graduating batches of 2008 and 2009 have included top scorers in the prestigious all India CAT examination of 2011 and 2012, respectively.

Examinations Considered as Equivalent to Class XII
Candidates who have completed Class XII (or equivalent) examination outside India or from a Board not specified above should produce a certificate from the AIU to the effect that the examination they have passed is equivalent to the Class XII examination.
In case the Class XII examination is not a public examination, the candidate must have passed at least one public (Board or Pre-University) examination earlier.
The admission to all these courses is through the IIT Joint Entrance Examination (JEE).
