No, there's no such thing as admission in third year in IGNOU.

IGNOU conducts admission for full course, that is starting from the first year only, there's no such thing as transfer policy here. One has to register and enroll as a fresh candidate for first year only and

Regarding schedule of IGNOU classes, kindly contact the coordinator of your study centre, only that concerned person shall be able to give you all details accurately, usually IGNOU classes are held on Saturday and Sunday.

Giving nice institutes for practical classes and good faculty who teaches well. For technical courses these are some good perks. Decent labs and classes overall and also depends on your study center .

IGNOU has a large and well-planned main campus in New Delhi that reflects its status as India’s biggest open university. The headquarters is spread over a vast area with administrative blocks, academic buildings, a central library, auditoriums, and research centres. The campus environment is generally calm and organised, giving it a serious academic feel rather than a lively college vibe. Facilities like libraries, computer labs, and seminar halls are functional and suited for academic and administrative work. However, since IGNOU mainly follows a distance-learning model, most students do not regularly use the main campus. The real experience depends heavily on regional and study centres, which vary in quality. Some centres are well maintained with clean classrooms, computer facilities, and helpful staff, while others have limited infrastructure and fewer amenities. Campus life, hostels, and extracurricular activities are minimal compared to regular universities. IGNOU’s infrastructure is designed more for accessibility and scale than for student life. It successfully supports millions of learners across the country but does not offer a traditional campus experience.
