48 Months B.Sc in Urology and Reproductive Technology is a newly emerging and in demand program of the emergent needs of experts in the fields of urology, andrology, reproductive medicine that involves technical application in endoscopic, laparoscopic, microsurgical andrology and urology. In addition, technical support is necessary and crucial during various Assisted Reproductive Techniques, which has been on rise over the past few years. Services of a Urology and Reproductive technologist are highly desired in every super specialty hospital and healthcare unit for advanced management.
There is a critical need for preparing a competent cadre of young professionals trained in the area of Urology and Reproductive Technology and the young professionals are responsible for the installation and maintenance of medical devices, instruments and machines. For instance, setting up machines such as C-arm, ESWL machine, setting up and maintenance of laparoscopic and endo-urology instruments and monitors, which are high end and at the same time expensive that need to be maintained optimally at regular intervals. Also, they are active members in performing routine maintenance checks and software calibrations, as well as major repairs if a particular machine is malfunctioning.
Graduates from this program emerge as active members of healthcare teams, proficient in performing routine maintenance checks, software calibrations, and major repairs when required, therefore making this one of the best allied health sciences courses in Bangalore. The qualification for Eligibility for B.Sc Urology and Reproductive Technology is a pass in 10+2, A Level, IB, American, 12th Grade or equivalent board, with a minimum 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry, English and Biology, and with a pass in English.
