Hello,
Admission to B.Tech programmes in Sastra University will be based on JEE Main scores of the candidate and 10+2 marks.
The weightage for JEE main scores and 12th marks will be 25% and 75% respectively.
The aggregate JEE main score and normalized 12th aggregate will be taken together as per the weightage and candidate will be ranked on the basis of resultant combined score.
The combined score of all the students will be used to determnine the SASTRA rank and admission will be based on the SASTRA rank.
For details regarding admission, you can refer to the link below-

Hope this helps.

Hello,
The SASTRA university displays the merit list for a limited period of time and removes it once the admission process is over.
Hence, information about the 2017 SASTRA merit list is unavailabile.
However, 'The Hindu' analysed the merit list last year and I quote them
"R.S. Subbulakshmi from Chettinad Vidyashram, Chennai, has secured the top rank with a JEE and Plus Two combined score of 142.44. She scored 96.2% in the CBSE exam and secured 280 marks in JEE Main 2017.
While 70% of the seats will be allotted based on this combined score, the remaining 30% seats will be filled based on normalised Plus Two aggregate marks, in which S.V. Preethi from Venkatalakshmi Matriculation HSS, Coimbatore, with 100% has secured first rank with a score of 1,193 out of 1,200 in the Plus Two exams.
For the law programmes, Manasa Sainidhi from CMR National Public School, Bengaluru, with a combined score of 102, secured the first rank by obtaining 95.2% in Plus Two and 121.25 in the CLAT 2017 exams. "
Hope this helps you!
I really like this colleges based on placement based on my optionion you can join our college. Little bit strict but that’s Okk. In our college infrastructure is better I’m currently doing my Bsc degree in sastra university
My experience with this college is a mixed one ..The infrastructure of the university is good and is the most remarkable for the computing programs The research facilities here are top notch with fully equipped Labs and great professors (not all but a few ones are very experienced and influential in their field..other buildings are average and there is a wifi facility available 24/7 for laptops..no cycle is available ..The food is good..but everything has its bad days too..the form is quite clean
laboratories for bio tech and other related departments are very good and high tech here. Hostels are non ac full vegetarian, managable. wifi is 24/7 available. the environment is good for studying here.
