Hi there,
With 94.5 percentile and obc category your son is definitely getting a good branch at top NITS but for cse he should have to score more than 96+ percentile. But with this percentile also if he waits till last round of counselling he might get cse also but surely not in the top ranked nits.
I suggest to prepare a bit harder for the June exams and try to score more than 96+ percentile.
I hope this help

Hi,

Anna University and its affiliated colleges offer full-time BE/ B.Tech and B.Arch courses in various disciplines at UG level.

* 10 + 2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics are the minimum eligibility criteria for admission.

* For BE/ B.Tech admission, the candidates will be shortlisted based on marks in 10+2 followed by TNEA counseling.

* Shortlisting of candidates in TNEA counseling is done based on aggregate cut-off of physics, chemistry, and mathematics. Higher your cut-off higher will be your rank.

I hope you find it useful.

Hey there

If you'll drop from an engineering college your fees is non refundable in majority cases but different engineering colleges have different rules and regulations. If you'll go to other colleges next year like NITs as you wrote then you'll have to pay your 4 years fees as you'll be staying there for 4 years.

Hello Aspirant,

Sastra University application process has been started for B.Tech admissions on April 2nd and will continues upto June 2nd 2020.

They take admission solely on the basis of merit list prepared through two streams :-

Stream 1 : In this stream they prepare merit list based on the marks scored by candidates in JEE-Main along with marks of 10+2.

Stream 2 : In this stream they prepare merit list solely on the basis of marks scored by candidates in 10+2.

Through stream 1 you cannot get CSE branch but you can try through stream 2, there are strong chances that you can get CSE branch through stream 2. This prediction is based on the data given by you in the question.

I hope this information helps you. For further doubts feel free to ask.

Good Luck!!

Hello Ravi!

In Sastra university,  the admission are conducted on the basis of two stream.

First is where they include jee mains and 12 class score. The ratio of score  jee mains to 12 class is 30% to 70%. The addition of score of jee mains and class 12 is done and then the students are ranked accordingly. This scheme is only for 70% of the total seats.

Second is where they consider only 12 class marks for the left over 30% of the seats.

Good luck!

My experience with this college is a mixed one ..The infrastructure of the university is good and is the most remarkable for the computing programs The research facilities here are top notch with fully equipped Labs and great professors (not all but a few ones are very experienced and influential in their field..other buildings are average and there is a wifi facility available 24/7 for laptops..no cycle is available ..The food is good..but everything has its bad days too..the form is quite clean
