The college is well-equipped with all the instruments which are required during practical session. The college is very neat and clean and well maintained. It's has different laboratories for different departments.
I am completed pursuing by B.tech in Electrical and Communication engineering. I had an interest in this degree and this college presented me with good laboratories and interested in teaching students out of the academics. Qualified faculty will approach with an innovative and iterative teaching techniques. There teaching mostly concentrates the students to give a practical experience which makes us job ready.
The efforts of the college to bring dream companies should be noted as a growing campus. Even current placements are also good. Almost 75% of the students get placed in every batch. As far as I have seen, the average salary package was 7 LPA and the highest was 36lLPA .
The college campus is excellent. The campus is very big and the architecture is very unique. This one the biggest campus in the whole surrounding . There are parking facilities and so number of classrooms and labs and big playgrounds.
Our Institute focus mainly on theory and secondary on practical knowledge. Our teachers mainly focus on study help students to clear there doubts and help them to write there research papers and tell the benifits of these things.
The college is known for its placement cell ,in this college you take 90 percent placement and very renowned companies are coming into the department like exon mobil and honey well etc and and great infrastructure for GATE exam .
The college has almost all the important equipment. And the classrooms have AC so it might be cool in the summer season. Laboratories have enough equipment, classrooms are big, no sports facilities are available from the college, and free wifi is available in the hostel and college too. The living spaces are clean and the food is adjustable.
I am completed studying B.Tech in EEE because the demand for tech jobs in the market is huge. The quality of teaching is average. The teachers are helpful and kind. The curriculum is very much old-fashioned and not at all updated. It does not make a student job-ready. Rather they are just to fill the copy and for formality.
The placements in the college are mediocre. Although one can try multiple placements off campus. 60-70% of students were placed on average. The highest salary package offered is around 18-30 lakhs. Tech-based companies provide these high-paying job packages.
The college provides good infrastructure which composes of projectors in respective classrooms, effective labs, work space , peaceful environment, vast area of playground for sports and a healthy time for other cultural activities.
The quality of teaching of the teachers is very good, they are good in their respective field. My college taken some steps into the curriculum of the subject they designed the course industry oriented . The recent developments in the field as well as it makes job ready us.
Placements are medium to high . Generally 70-80% students get placed every year.college is very supportive at the time of interviews and the placement process is pleasant . The average salary of placed students goes like 5 lac per annum.
Students can wear what they wish to and we having a big and spacious campus with well stocked library and laboratories. Quality of food is acceptable. Cooking methods are hygienic. College is also having hostels for girls.
Relatively hectic with more than 15 lectures per week with not much industry visit but practical discussion around case studies take place often. Here teachers help the students with resources and there own experience.
The placement scenario is quite good in our institute both private companies and PSUs visit our campus. The average package is 7-8lac per annum with highest package of 40-50 lac per annum. Our placement percentage is 80 %.
Our College infrastructure is really good. Buildings and lawns are maintained. College classrooms and labs are clean and newly constructed. College wifi is available in entire College campus. A Library is also available in college.
I studying in Computer Engineering. Quality of teaching is good , all the teachers are supportive to the students. But also some teachers'are very strict. Recent updates like hacker rank and all the events college take .
Placement for Computer Engineering branch is good but for mechanical engineering is not much more it's very hard to get packed. Having a good knowledge of coding is mandatory and also self confidence And any other self skills.
Yes it has all necessary infrastructure,it has all facilities etc.. it has all facilities and good wifi speed and food here is also hygienic,we also have 3 canteens,it depends on your choice where to eat.
The quality of teaching here is good, the curriculum is also flexible and easy if you study regularly, mostly makes you job ready by 4 years. What I study can may or may not make my job ready. It depends on the interview.
The quality of placements has been good as my seniors told. As of their knowledge, if we want a core company job, the average salary is 5-6 lakhs per annum but if you are interested in IT jobs, and highest in our department for 24 lakhs in CSE.
The college infrastructure is quite good it contains all the basic necessities which a college should have. The college has mess facilities and it also has sports facilities . Very good green environment is maintained .
Academic performance of colleges quite good we have highly skilled faculty they are also very supported for college student the college also provide workshop guest lecture for student to announce their career.
Nearly 75% of students are placed in different companies . They provide the CRT program in every week and this program will start in the 3rd year of our college in overall college all branches are secured most of the placement .
Good, the college is very good and clean and environment is very nice. The infrastructure of a college plays a vital role in the development of the college as the students are now focusing on the labs, class rooms, etc while selecting a college. It is important that the colleges have very good infrastructure with advanced laboratories equipped with state of the art equipment etc
Yes they are providing qualified studies they are making you ready for the future. Yes the curriculum is up to date they provide opportunities for different students Focus on learning as much as possible. In the real world (outside of Academia) no cares about your grades. OK maybe for your first job out of college someone will care what your grades were during the interview. After that most people wont even remember your major correctly.
Good, as bachelor in Technology provides any kind of placement. The difficulty with placement is that we tend to look at the individual.Every student get good placement well reputed and renowned companies, curriculum was excellent . College provide us intership for better future and experience.
SASTRA is having a great campus and campus life here all the departments are divided differently with each department with there own resources and things. Our campus do also have a food corner with edible food in a reasonable price and it provide all labs.
Our college has excellent faculty. They are very friendly towards us.Our teachers explain each and every concept very clearly and faculty members are there who are supportive at gaining knowledge, that they gave their official number to get clear doubts for the students.Diet works alot to hire expert teachers for sake of students.
It provides a decent placement to mostly all IT AND CSE Branch students average placement is nearly 8 lac per annum which is according to me a decent placement. Our highest package this year was 66 lac in Google.Students also receive amazing internships opportunities from amazon , microsoft and others college provides full support in placement opportunities too
Hello Aspirant,
In Sastra University the admission is done on the basis of scores obtained in jee mains and 12th scores.
As per your scores you have fair chances of getting core branches like mechanical, electrical, civil branches. But this is as per the previous year trends . There are certain factors such as number of candidates appearing in the counselling, previous year cutoffs and number of seats available in the college which determines the current year cut offs.
But you can be assured that you will get any of these branches.
Dear Aspirant,
Sorry to say but you will not be able to get a seat.
It always depends on the competition for the seats at SASTRA. Sometimes you might, Sometimes you can’t. Below is the counseling status:
Let me share the counseling statuses in 2017. I secured AIR 1333 under stream 1. I had a friend whose AIR was 450 under stream 1. He was called on the first day-first session. I was called on the second day-first session. Now, let me be accurate, each session is conducted for 600 students and 2 sessions like this happen per day.
Now, here’s the data after day 1 counseling regarding the number of seats left in various departments. These results were made available on the sastra website after day-1 counseling was over.
CSE : 0
ECE : 0
IT : 0
ICT: 4
EEE: 22
EYE: 37
Mech: 41
Civil: 48
Aerospace: 30
Biotech: 36
Chemical: don't remember
Mechatronics:20
Now, On day 2, I can guarantee that 80 people went up for choice filling but only 20–30 people chose their seats because the others wanted only CSE or ECE and hence they left without choosing. The next 100 ( i.e., from 1300–1400) were called in groups of 27 and they were given choices to choose from.
EEE: 8
Mechanical: 10
Mechatronics: 16
EI: 36
Civil: 46
Aerospace: 30
Biotech: 36
Chemical: don't remember
EEE ends by 1100 and ECE by 700–800, and CSE by 400. But that day was different, somehow the odds were in my favor.
Extra Info: Here are some seat details I would like to give from what I have heard from others,
EEE was there until 1400 appx. ( my other friend was 1393 and chose EEE)
Mech was there until 1405–1410 ( I heard some parents getting disappointed when their child was just a few ranks from where Mechanical was over).
Mechatronics was there until 1550–1600.
and the rest, I just don't know…. :)
hope SASTRA aspirants find this informative. Don't take this year’s counseling for granted, these seats can vary next year.. who knows, maybe all core branches can get over by 1000.. several people who attend the counseling matter your result the most because’ the seats they choose affect your decision.
Feel free to ask more questions.
All The Best.
Hello,
There are two admissions streams, first.
JEE main scores plus Intermediate Score (70% seats) in Stream 1
Only Intermediate scores (30% seats) in Stream 2
You have a fair probability of getting into Sastra utilising stream 1 if your rank is around 1300 but your rank is larger. With this score, passing stream 2 is nearly impossible. Thus, you might obtain the branches below.
Thank You
