You can check their status of admission from the institute's portal - - applications.srmist.edu.in/btech -- and login with the email ids and passwords. If you are shortlisted in this first round can claim their admission till August 18.

Ya you can change your stream, provided if there are seats left in other course as well. 1st year syllabus will be same for everyone so you need not worry. From second year, you get into your department/course you have opted. Some students give up after 1 year,

As you have mentioned that you have secured 2782 rank which is quite very good rank. Considering the previous year cutoffs, with this rank you can easily get CSE in any of the SRM campuses. You can can sit in the next round counsellings and can change your branch.

The college infrastructure is very nice and as expected because as we know the SRM college is one of the top private colleges of India which shows it's value. The campus is very clean & green which makes it even better.

College Infrastructure

The college infrastructure I'll say its average because it's very far from Chennai city which is around 40-45 kms away. The buildings have very less lifts as per the total number of students they have.
