The SRMJEE is a quite popular entrance exam as every year a large number of students give this particular exam so that they can secure their seats in any of the SRM campus. Now the marks which you have scored is a great one but as you are looking for the Main SRM Campus ie, (KTR) campus than there might be a lot of difficulties that can arise as the main campus has very huge number of students and hence it requires a very very high marks to get over there but definitely you should try for admission with some medium field as well so that by any chance you can get admission in it. But while putting your preferences you should try to go with more options because that helps you tu get sure admission will n any of the options of your choice.

In all the colleges there are category wise seat distribution has been done and there are some percent of seats reserved for other state quota and as SRM being a Private institution you can definitely gat a admission in SRM university inspite of you being of any state. Now saying about how much question you should attempt to score a high marks is not that easy, but definitely you can try to keep your aim always very high and try to attempt all the questions which you are completely sure with because doing this will help you to boost maximum marks.

As the college about which you are talking ie, SRM (KTR) campus which is also the main campus if I’m not wrong and the rank which you have scored is a very great score and you should definitely try for the CSE branch. Now talking about the Scholarship than ya SRM offers some different types of scholarship for the some great students like waving of fees or any internal and external scholarship. If you want to know more about scholarship than you can simply contact the College so that they can give you a detailed information regarding the same.

When you have to compare two colleges and have to arrive at a conclusion then you have to choose some of the parameters. This parameters can be a distinct number of events but to conclude this answer I am choosing some of the most important parameters like:

• Infrastructure
• Curriculum
• Faculties
• Placement

Now if you consider all this parameters and do some research, then the results that you can get that SRM have better infrastructure than Parul, not only terms of campus but the lab facilities in SRM are better than Parul. The teachers in SRM are more qualified and experienced. They are active in research which is a great sign for the students of science as the teachers will keep them updated with the present researches. The curriculum of SRM is moderately more industry oriented which can be beneficial for a student who want to do job in IT/core CS sectors. The placements in both of the universities are average although SRM have better median package.

Saying all the things which you have mentioned is not that easy because the counselling process for giving admissions are done through a procedure. Now as you have mentioned your marks which is a decent one and now you have to put your preferences and options of branch you are interested and by this all factors and also comparing your rank with it if you cross cutoffs than the seat will be allotted to you. So now if you have made your preference starting with CSE or IT field than sorry to say your chance of getting seat in any round of counselling will not be that easy because it has a huge base of students trying to get in it, but ya definitely you should fill some medium branches as well so that you will have a better chance of getting selected by the Fourth or Fifth round of counselling hence, always try to put more options in your preference so that it helps in increasing your chance of getting seats.

Firstly, congrats on successful completion of your SRMJEEE Examination. The cut-off trends keeps changing every year and it depends on the number of students attempting the exam, difficulty level, number of available seats, etc. Getting a CSE seat is getting highly tough these days as the demand is very much. With a rank around 25,000, its not possible to secure a CSE or CSE with any specialization in SRM KTR Campus as the closing rank was around 9,500 - 10,500 for CSE core branch in SRMJEEE 2016. Whereas you can always try securing a CSE or any other seat in the other campuses of SRM University. So, just apply to their counselling process and secure a seat.

As per the two choices given by you that is vit chennai cse core or cse specialisation at srm main campus. So, let me be very clear that in these two courses there won't be any kind of difference in terms of placements ,faculty or even infrastructure.

So, you can choose any of the two depending on your choice. In my view you can select on the basis of the ROI factor. If you are getting vit chennai at category 1 then opt for that but if not then definitely go for srm University.
