Verified certificates are provided when the enrolled candidates pay the fee according to the courses. Programme certificates are provided after the successful completion of the course.
Archived courses are provided by the platform of edX. These courses can only be audited and many features are not available for these courses. Additionally, the platform does not provide certificates for these courses.
The candidate has to register for the verified course and has to pay the fee. Once registered he/she has to upload their image [taken from the webcam] and provide a photo identification card. After purchasing and completing the verification details the candidate will be able to complete the graded assignments within the course and they have to score overall passing marks for achieving the certificates.
If the enrolled candidate signs up for the verified course then he/she will be able to complete the graded assignments and will be able to earn the certificates. The certificate earned on the platform is easily shareable to the Linkedin profiles, employers which increases the job opportunities and the network.
