Arignar Anna Government Arts College for Women, Vellore Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The college has a girls' hostel facility which provides good hostel accommodation for the students. It provides accommodation to 300 students with sixty rooms. The new hostel for PG students was constructed recently. The hostel has a spacious dining hall, library, sick room, and other required facilities for the students. The college hostel mess is given for contract, and food is provided to the students at a cheaper rate.

The college is facilitated by a central library that is available to the students and the professors. It has a collection of various disciplinary books, journals, magazines, newspapers, and other general books. It has around 37000 books for the benefit of students. As per the rules and regulations of the library, two books are issued for a library card. Resource development is another area of focus. The Arignar Anna Govt Arts College Library has a vast collection of books and journals to cater to the growing needs of the student community. Recently, resources have been added to help students prepare for competitive exams like the Civil Services, UGC NET, and so on; a separate collection of relevant books has been added to the library.

The college has excellent IT Infrastructure facilities for the students.

The college Canteen is available within the college campus.

The college has a departmental-based laboratory facility for the students. The science department has well-equipped laboratories for practical subject knowledge. The college has UG and PG laboratories respectively for each department.

The college has all the students of our college are members of the Old Students Association. The final-year students register themselves in this association. Every year, OSA Day is celebrated by inviting the members of this association. The most prominent member of OSA is Tmt. E. Sundaravalli, IAS, Thiruvallur Dist. Our students are working in various higher positions in the government. Employees, Teachers, Lecturers, Professors, Accountants, Lab technicians, etc.. at various places.

The college has sports facilities for all students. The college has excelled in sports and games at all levels, and encouragement is given to participating students by allowing them flexible, continuous assessment schedules and attendance requirements. The various sports activities include Badminton, Throwball, Cricke,t Hockey, Kabaddi, Kho-Kho Football Track Events.

The college has an auditorium facility for events and seminars.

The college stationary items, books, notes, and other required items are sold to the students by this cooperative store.

The college has a health center with a first aid facility for the students.

The college has guest house/waiting room facilities for visiting faculty and student family members.
