Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Polytechnic College has commenced in the year 2006 and it is a technical institution found in Fatehgarh Sahib of Punjab territory. It is a co-educational institution located in a 10 acres land and AICTE approval is for affiliated college. The college enrolment total of 399 students in diploma courses and has well qualified faculties of 28 members. The institution’s technical education is further reflected in its five specialised courses all of which are oriented in engineering.

The college has a wide number of facilities with aims to improve the process of students’ education. The library, a fundamental of every college, has an excess of 4250 titles, which has 19850 volumes including international and national journals to support students researching. For those who stay, there are boys’ and girls’ hostels with each of them consisting of seven floors, each house having 102 rooms fitted with modern facilities like 24 hour electricity and water supplies, computers and internet. The campus also has well-equipped laboratories, cafeteria and an extra seating area for events and seminars such as auditorium. Fun lovers will appreciate having facilities for such games as football, cricket, hockey, volley ball, kabaddi and badminton. There is a major assets to practical aspect of the college because health of students is given paramount importance here through functional medical facility that provides first aid.

At present, Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Polytechnic College comprises five full time diploma programs which are of three years in duration each. These programs are Civil, Mechanical, Automobile, Computer Science, Electronics and Communication. These programs are based on different branches of engineering so that the students build up a good base of their technical education.
