Hi Gaurav, in my opinion, bcet Durgapur is a good option if you are not able to get any other better topmost college. The infrastructure is good. Labs are good. Faculties are good. The placements are not that great but still better than many other colleges.
Unfortunately, Bcet Durgapur has been declining in the last few years.
I suggest you to research thoroughly and then decide what suits you best.
Hope this helps. Regards
Bengal College of Engineering Durgapur is not quite good in terms of:
Placements : Placements in our college are not enough good, but many of the students get the job. Companies like Tech Mahindra, Amazon, TCS etc. Visit our college. The salary offered by the companies at minimum is 2 LPA, on average they offer from 3-4 LPA and maximum they offer 6LPA. The students of CSE and IT branches get placed more.
Infrastructure : The infrastructure of our college is good as compared to other colleges. Our classrooms are not well-designed. The library is somewhat good. The medical facilities are not good in our college. The sports court is provided for playing but they won't support the students to play.
Faculty : The faculty in our college are good and some of them are not so good. Generally, the teaching methods are used to complete the syllabus during the exam, but mostly syllabus is not completed on time. The industry exposure facility is not provided. Learning the course is useful to us, but extra knowledge is also necessary.

Hostel facility and mess are not that up to the mark, but the faculty members are very friendly and motivates everytime.
The above given information is based on the review taken by the passed out students from this college.

Hey! Dr. B.C. Roy Engineering College is lot better than Bengal College of Engineering and Technology in terms of Faculty and Placements which is most important for the aspirants but if we talk about other aspects like infrastructure and academics than no doubt BCET has a upper hand in this. Hope this may help you.
