Bengal College of Pharmaceutical Technology at Dubrajpur (BCPT) – to provide a well-disciplined course in pharmaceutical education. BCPT Application Process

BCPT B.Pharma Admission Process

There are 100 seats available for admission into the B.Pharma course offered at BCPT. This four-year programme will be offered to students qualifying through WBJEE or JEE (Main). Also, candidates must have a firm foundation in physics, chemistry, and mathematics at the 10+2 level. Such a basis should ensure that only the most qualified and most passionate students gain entry to the programme.

Eligibility includes B.Pharma:

  • Successful completion of 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology as core subjects
  • Qualification in WBJEE or JEE (Main) in the year of BCPT admission
  • Good mental and physical health

BCPT D.Pharma Admission Process

The D.Pharma programme at BCPT has 60 seats for aspirants of pharmacy technicians. It is a two-year diploma course governed by the relevant admission guidelines of WBSCT & VE & SD and PCI. This process adopts science-based selections for BCPT admission.

Eligibility for D.Pharma is as follows:

  • Passing marks in Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects, plus Mathematics/Biotechnology/Biology at the 10+2 level
  • Minimum age of 17 years as of December 31st in the year of BCPT admission
  • Upper age limit unobtained

BCPT Documents Required

  • 10th and 12th standard mark sheets and certificates
  • Entrance examination score card (WBJEE or JEE Main for B.Pharma)
  • Proof of age (Birth certificate or 10th standard certificate)
  • Character certificate from the last-attended institution
  • Migration certificate (for candidates from boards other than WBCHSE or universities other than MAKAUT)
  • Residential/Domicile Certificate (for reserved category candidates - SC/ST/PWD/OBC)
  • Recent passport-sized photographs
  • Any other documents specified by the college or regulatory bodies

Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharma) is a four- year full-time program that is the undergraduate level in the pharmacy education course offered by Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology, Kolkata and approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).

Eligibility Criteria :-

10+2 science academic stream with Physics, Chemistry. Mathematics or Biology. or Diploma in Pharmacy from PCI approved institution.

Seats :- It has only 100 seats for B.Pharma course.

Placements: 86% of students got placed in previous batch. Their average package started from 25,000 per month. Major Recruiters are Abbott, Cipla, Pharmatek, Strides etc. About 65% students got internships in companies like Aurobindo Pharma, Ayush Health Care Pvt., Ltd., especially for biomedical science students.

This course is directly related to the medical sector and education. Events like essay competition, medicines distribution fair, extracurricular activities like plantation of medicinal plants are conducted. Connectivity is good, as the bus stand and rail station are nearby.

Teachers are helpful and well qualified. The teaching quality of some teachers is awesome, and all are knowledgeable. This course is curriculum relevant and is according to MAKAUT. Students are well prepared for the industry. The classrooms are digital, so the teachers use the video-audio system and power-point presentations to teach.
