15 MonthsPost Graduate Diploma (PGD) in Sericulture (Mulberry) is a one-year, three-month (including 3 months of intensive field training) full-time course offered by the University of Kalyani, Kalyani.
Eligibility Criteria
The candidate should possess a Graduate degree from a recognized Indian university in biological sciences or a Graduate degree in any discipline with basic knowledge of sericulture/silk and a reasonable understanding of the basic biological concepts and principles.
Age: The applicants should be in the age group of 21-40 years as on 01.07.2025; however, there is no age limit for in-service candidates working in the Department of Sericulture of various States.
Admission Details
Candidates (Open/Sponsored) fulfilling the essential qualification (Graduate degree in biological sciences) are eligible for admission directly based on the available vacancy. Whereas, candidates possessing a degree other than a biological science will have to qualify for the screening test conducted by the institute.
