• 85% of the seats are reserved for the candidates from the Punjab state and the remaining 15% for the candidates outside the Punjab state.

• While allocating seats, 5% weightage is awarded to those candidates who studied for at least three years or have passed their +1 and +2 examination from the schools located in rural areas.
