CGC operates on a large-scale, corporate-style campus. The infrastructure feels energetic and professional, with smart classrooms, seminar halls, libraries, and digital resources that support continuous academic activity. The environment reflects ambition, movement, and competitiveness, preparing students for real-world pressure.
The MBA curriculum leans toward application-based learning.Case studies, presentations, live projects, and industry interactions are regular parts of the program. Faculty members bring a mix of academic knowledge and corporate exposure, encouraging us to think beyond textbooks and develop decision-making confidence
Corporate engagement is one of CGC’s strong points.Numerous companies visit the campus, offering roles across sales, HR, operations, and analytics. While salary packages vary, the volume of opportunities gives us multiple chances. Success ultimately depends on communication skills, specialization strength, and consistency
The program delivers high exposure relative to its cost.Considering the scale of training, placement drives, and industry sessions, the MBA at CGC feels like a career-focused investment rather than just an academic expense, especially for students eager to enter the corporate world early
Life at CGC is dynamic and competitive. Frequent events, management fests, club activities, and peer interaction create a professional atmosphere that sharpens leadership and teamwork skills. The pace is demanding but rewarding for those who stay engaged.
Completing my MBA in 2023 at Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Punjab was a fast-paced and exposure-driven experience where the campus constantly pushed students toward industry readiness, adaptability, and practical thinking, rather than just classroom learning.
Our University infrastructure was best, super smart classrooms, digital boards, the garden area at it's finest. Every course has their own building. Library was also huge, we've got the hostel area nicely established, small shops to purchase every stationary you needed, and canteen very important.
I did my b.tech from computer science, and i found that teaching was not that up to the mark. Students are not competitive and that is one thing that helps in your growth. I wasn't able to find that study circle nowhere in the college.
Placements here are also not that good as much they show in the advertisements. If I have to give any percentage then I would go with 20%. The highest salary package till now was INR 8 lakhs per annum. Less students get placed, for instance 2/10.
Low academics, less placements and Infrastructure will not educate you, so to sum it up all, it is not worth it. My b.tech fees for 1 year was ₹2L thus for 1 Semester it is ₹1L. And it has been increased since last year.
It was not fine for a student travelling daily but if you're a hostler you find it great you know the good old days will be your memory. I have friends who were hostlers so they enjoying it. Everyday parties, late night clubs, sleepovers and all.
I really liked this college ,faculties are very cooperative polite and kind towards students . They really help us a lot and they are well good in behaviour …and I really had a great time with them ..
As a college review, academic refer to the quality of education, curriculum, teaching methods, and student performance within the institution.it involves assessing whether the course meet academic standards
From a reviewer’s perspective ,placement refers to the process through which college help student secure jobs or internship in reputed companies. It reflects the employability and practical readliness of student
We have all types of games and a funable life over here
The college campus is spacious and has the essential infrastructure. The classrooms are standard but are equipped with projectors and Wi-Fi, which are functional most of the time. The mechanical labs, such as the CAD/CAM lab and the Strength of Materials lab, have the necessary equipment, but some machines are outdated and maintenance can be slow. The central library is well-stocked with books, though access to premium online journals could be improved. The hostels are average; the rooms are basic but generally clean.
I pursued a B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering. The quality of teaching is a mixed bag; there are a few excellent professors who are very knowledgeable and supportive, but there are also others who rely heavily on rote learning from outdated materials. The curriculum for Mechanical Engineering covers the fundamental topics but is not as updated as it should be to include the latest trends like Industry 4.0, advanced robotics, and sustainable engineering. While the course provides a strong theoretical base, it lacks sufficient practical, hands-on projects that make students truly job-ready.
Placements for the Mechanical Engineering branch are challenging. The college sees a good number of companies visiting for IT and CS/IT branches, but core mechanical companies are few and far between. Most of the opportunities offered to mechanical students are in the IT sector as analysts or consultants, requiring you to learn coding skills separately. The average package for mechanical students is significantly lower compared to other branches. While the placement cell is active in organizing drives, their focus is predominantly on mass recruiters for software roles.
The college has good infrastructure with proper classrooms, computer labs, library, and Wi-Fi. Classrooms have projectors and smart boards which are well maintained. Labs are updated with the required software and equipment. The library is spacious with enough books and digital resources. The hostel has clean rooms, water facility, and hygienic food. Sports facilities are also available.
I studied B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering. The teaching quality is good and teachers are helpful. Most of the faculty members explain concepts clearly and give practical exposure through labs and projects. The syllabus is updated and covers industry requirements.
The college has a good placement record for CSE students. Many reputed companies visit the campus, including IT services and product-based firms. Average packages are decent, and some students also get higher packages. The placement cell provides training sessions, mock interviews, and aptitude classes to prepare students.
The college infrastructure is good . Good campus , good ,night life , good canteen . But still needs improvement in sanitation facilities like washing , sanitation and drinking water. Good investment needed.
Academic is good. Faculty provides you deep insight knowledge with practical skills and laboratory work. Still needs improvement in project assigning and helpful assistance by the professors and other staff.
Placements are good. But still need better collaboration and industrial exposure . Favoritism in Placement cells should be reduced and an inclusive environment for job opportunities should be fostered .
Its infrastructure is very nice , with all facilities, and with top-notch infrastructure Smart classroom, modern labs, a well - stocked library Hostels are clean and safe with good food and 24/7 water and electricity supply.
The academic is well structured and upto date with the latest industry trends Professors are experienced, supportive, and approachable. Regular workshops, guest lectures, and seminars help enhance subject understanding.
Placements have been impressive in recent years. Reputed companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, and Capegimini visit regularly. The placement cell provides good training for aptitude, interviews, and coding rounds.
The fee structure is reasonable compared to the facilities and placement opportunities offered. Scholarships are available for meritorious and economically weaker students. The ROI is quite satisfactory
Campus life is vibrant and inclusive. Various clubs and societies allow students to explore interests in coding, culture, literature, entrepreneurship, and more. Annual fests, cultural events, and hackathons keep the energy high.
The college excels in all aspects- from state of the art infrastructure and quality academics to strong placement support and a lively campus life. It provides great value for money and focus on both professional and personal development.
Infrastructure is decent. The campus is good enough. One can find all the necessary thungs inside the campus itself. Grounds are also available. Students can play whenever they like. No restriction on type of sports
Academics is also decent. Teachers complete the syllabus in time so that one can get good marks in the theory examination at the end of the semester. Library is also available to all, if anyone needs books
The college placements take place along side with Chandigarh University. Company count is decent. One can participate in a company's drive after meeting a certain criteria set by the company. Every company has its own placement process
The college infrastructure is quite impressive from outside but if you enter inside classroom of a block you'll get to know what actually it is. But overall the college campus is good and have several seating areas.
The teaching staff is good in terms of knowledge but some of them behave friendly and some of them behave in an inappropriate manner. But overall the teaching staff is good and teach well to the students.
What shown in the picture is not always correct. The training and placement department efforts are not much good. The number of placed students they post on social media is totally wrong. Hardly the students are getting placement here.
infrastucture is good college is neat and clean. Well organized and cleaned environment.. there are parks and food courts where you hangout with your friends. parks are very neat and clean. Food court is good.
Academics are not so good. There is no quality study. Attendance system is very poor. The staff is not so supportive. Some staff are good but not all are supportive. so overall academics are not good and student not get practical knowledge. Just focus on compeleting the assignments and attendance.
Placement is very poor in college. There is dedicated department named as CRC for student placement. But CRC not coordinated with students. Students didn't know the eligibilty crieteria they just shortlist the student. Every student didn't chance to sit in placement.
Hello Aspirant
I hope you are doing good . As per your query, I would like to tell you that placement scenario of cse branch is very good almost 90 percent of batch got placed every year and 20 percents of students got internships. The average package goes around 5-6
Hello student,
Campus life in CEC landran is very excellent as I know may be CEC landran has a big and beautiful campus than both institute campus chandigarh university and CEC jhanjeri and in gender ratio may be there are 70% boys and 30% girls in the campus, labs and
