Co-Operative College of Nursing, Thiruvananthapuram, and affiliated to Indian Nursing Council (INC) with respect to nursing. Co-Operative College of Nursing admissions are merit-based through which one may be granted a place according to one's marks in the qualifying examination. The institution has two major nursing programmes: the B.Sc Nursing programme and Post Basic B.Sc Nursing. Selection of candidates under the merit list is merit-based; however, students who are candidates for the management quota will have to qualify through an interview conducted by management of college in order to gain entrance into that quota. B.Sc Nursing: The B.Sc Nursing programme is a four years full-time course to be pursued at Co-operative College of Nursing, having an intake capacity of 90 students. Admission into this course is based on marks obtained in a qualifying examination. Candidates applying for admission under the management quota will also have to qualify for an interview conducted by the college management. This will help in selecting the candidates who possess excellent academic background and bright future in the nursing profession.
Post Basic B.Sc Nursing: 40 seats are offered in the Post Basic B.Sc Nursing Programme and the admission procedure is similar to that of the B.Sc Nursing Programme. Admission of the candidates is based on the marks obtained by them in the qualifying examination and those that apply under the management quota are required to pass through an interview conducted by the college management. This is for those who have completed their basic nursing qualification and are now willing to pursue higher learning in the field.
