    College of Fishery Science, Udgir Admission Process

    The College of Fisheries Science at Udgir is a specialised college of fishery science education. The College of Fisheries Science admission process aims at selecting candidates who are qualified and have an inclination toward fishery science. College of Fisheries Science admission for the B.F.Sc programme relies on the Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHT CET). The MHT CET is a statewide examination for admission to various undergraduate courses in Maharashtra, including fishery science.

    College of Fisheries Science Application Process

    Application to the College of Fishery Science, Udgir, comprises various steps:

    • Candidates who wish to register for the MHT CET examination should first go to the official MHT CET website. The MHT CET application window for the upcoming year is December 29, 2024, to February 14, 2025.
    • After successful registration, candidates are required to appear for the MHT CET exam on the scheduled date. The exam tests knowledge in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
    • After the MHT CET results have been announced, candidates will be able to check their score and percentile.
    • Candidates who qualify should apply to the College of Fishery Science, Udgir, filling out a separate application form for the college, if required.

    • A merit list of the college would be prepared on the basis of the "corrected Points" obtained by combining the MHT CET percentile score with additional weightage points.
    • The shortlisted candidates may be called for counselling, during which seats would be allotted on merit and availability.
    • The list of selected candidates will have to pay their admission fees. The total fee for the B.F.Sc programme is Rs 218,390.
    • The final admission to the B.F.Sc will be granted only after document verification and all the above-listed stages are cleared.

    College of Fisheries Science Eligibility Process

    Generally, the admission process will start with the application for MHT CET, which is for the academic year about to start from December 2024, to February 2025. The test is conducted online, and the candidates willing to be considered for admissions must fill out applications within this period. The candidates pursuing the B.F.Sc. degree must have completed 10+2 or an equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as subjects of study. The college also lays much stress on the performance of the applicants in those subjects related to the course.

    College of Fisheries Science B.F.Sc Admission Process

    B.F.Sc (Bachelor of Fishery Science): The B.F.Sc. is the main course offered by the College of Fishery Science, Udgir. Admission to this degree is based on performance in the MHT CET examination. The selection process includes:

    • The setup and examination in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology of MHT CET by the candidates.
    • Colleges considered the MHT CET 2023 (or relevant year) percentile score obtained in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
    • The college gives credit through certain extra weightage to selected candidates based on specific criteria (the details for this extra credit system should be obtained from the college).
